La Fiesta

I had the chicken enchilada with a bean burrito. Even though I am from California and we have a lot of Mexican restaurants, I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food. The refried beans were spicy to me. That's only my opinion. A great deal of people can eat spicy foods I'm not one of them.😞 Chicken enchilada and the red sauce were great. I enjoyed it and will eat there again. 😃

We were sat at a dirty table that needed to be wiped down. The floor all around the restaurant has not swept in a while. In fact I had to move food away from under the table to sit down. There was only four tables occupied but we had to wait a while for the server to show up.The waitress had attitude from the start. I order a cocktail, one that I ordered before but it was watered down. The waitress said that's how we have always made it. Not true, we have ordered that drink before. When the waitress brought the bill she slaped it down and walked away. Good tasting food but the portions have gotten smaller. We have eaten here many times before but they can't get their act together lately. Next time we're ordering it to go.

This Mexican restaurant in Ely, NV is obviously a popular spot units community. The menu is mainly Mexican food. The flavor is good. Service was good when we were there. Prices are in line with the increases in COVID inflation. There was a huge amount of cheese in the dishes I ordered (tamale and chili relleno.).

My husband and I always eat here when we are passing through Ely. It’s always our favorite. Last night the waitress was so unfriendly and super unwelcoming. She had an attitude from the beginning. She grabbed the menus from me when she collected them, barely checked on us and made us feel like she was seriously put out for having to even deal with us. Keep in mind we were going out of our way to be friendly with her thinking she was just having a bad day. The other workers were super nice but unfortunately we won’t be going back. First time having negative experience in Ely. It’s usually a great warm experience wherever we have gone. The manager should really address the waitress I see she had other complaints on here.

Ok for a Mexican Food Fix but probably wouldn't visit again. Not busy for early Friday evening but service was slow to nonexistent. Margaritas were huge, but contrary to other reviews...not strong. I have a very low tolerance to alcohol and these did not phase me. Cabbage salsa was good and unusual for us Texans...it was really like cabbage pico...sorta...or just slaw I guess it's a local thing. Our Queso appetizer never showed up...had to ask when dinner came. Waitress gave us a "you're ok" as walking by...literally had to call after her to get the appetizer brought out. Ordered combo fajitas with rice and beans refried....very loose...but ok since hubs likes them mixed with rice...I dont eat them...very fussy on my beans. Meats were cooked well with good flavor, and tender; just not sure what cut of beef it was...very small pieces. It appeared that staff was increasing near the end of our visit so I assume service gets better later.
