Cold Harbor

I had the opportunity to try the offerings at Cold Harbor Seafood & Market today. A stop for lunch, take out order. I ordered the Captain Fish Sandwich and day's fish option was Flounder. It also came with a bag of chips and a small bottle of water. The place is quite small as it can only accommodate six customers in the building at a time. This is definitely a takeout establishment. The inside is populated with coolers, shelving and the kitchen, along with the cash register. The coolers are stocked with fresh fish, prepared fish offerings like chowder, shrimp, salads, etc. The menu is small but looks very appetizing. Once I ordered and paid, I was asked to step outside to keep the customer count at six or less. Okay. There is a tiny speaker attached to the door that when your order is ready a voice comes across the speaker calling your name. You walk back in and grab your order. I picked up my order, heard the words "Thank you" nice touch. Off I went for my drive home. When I sat down to eat my Captain Fish Sandwich I expected a nice thick piece of deep fried Flounder covered with slaw and tomato. The Flounder was very thin and covered with an abundance of breadcrumbs. The slaw and tomato played well with the fish. The bread roll was large and soft, not much taste to it. The price of the sandwich was customary for today's restaurant costs. Personally, I was disappointed with the amount of fish on the sandwich. I would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. Enjoy.

This is the best place ever. The lunch menu is amazing. The Tacos, sandwiches, and especially the lobster rolls are all five stars. I have spent many summers in the Hamptons and traveled all over new England and have not had anything as good as this. The shrimp cocktail and crab cakes from their prepared foods are delicious. I won't post my photos because it doesn't do it justice. Only professional photography is good enough for this place. And today I tried the tiramisu they have prepared to go... Five kisses!!!!

Cold Harbor is by far my favorite fish market ever! The staff are so helpful and the food is so good! On 4 occasions we’ve walked in and bought sushi grade fish and made homemade sushi with the family! Also the lobster rolls are excellent. Highly recommend anyone who is from the area or someone passing through!

Better than a harborside fresh off the boat. Having just paid $35.00 for a lobster roll in Maine, I declared right there in the harbor that a Cold Harbor lobster roll was 10x’s better. Fresher, more tender, perfectly satisfying the lobster roll Jones! Nothing can beat Cold Harbor’s food, it IS the BEST!!!

I love this place! You can tell they truly care about their customers. I never write reviews but they deserve it. The fish tacos are soo good! And so are the lobster rolls. The prices are good too! I was able to get fresh, sushi grade tuna for a great price. They are all so friendly and knowledgeable too. I highly highly recommend this place.
