Having been to Thailand it's always a struggle to find any restaurants that comes close.
This small restaurant has a typical Asian decor and cosy feel.
We went to this restaurant before going to the cinema opposite.
Starters - went for the meeting bar platter which is a typical starter platter of spring rolls, chicken satay etc. Very average with burnt toast and overcooked meats.
Main Course - went for my favourite Thai dish lamb massaman and chicken pad Thai. The massaman was excellent and reminded me so much of Thailand with its excellent flavours and reasonable portions. Pad Thai was good as well and well presented.
Overall, nice main courses but let down with the very average starters. Staff are friendly and helpful and will return again to try the other main dishes but not the starters.

											By Esin Huseyin
Having returned from a trip to Thailand a couple of months ago I have since found myself in a bit of a Thai food whirlwind, other than when I’m not eating burgers. But, it’s never really matched up to it, although Busaba was probably the only place that got quite close, until now.
Not only have I found a match, but it’s also right on my bluddy doorstep – I can’t tell if that’s a good or a bad thing mind you.
I was meeting a friend of mine who I hadn’t seen in absolutely ages, and we were tossing up several restaurant choices until we decided to go to our local Thai – The Meeting. I have to be honest, many moons ago this restaurant was located in the side annex of a pub, and it didn’t really wow me. Now it’s taken over most of the pub and has generally established a bit of a following.
We went mid-week and when we popped our heads in to the restaurant it was absolutely heaving, and more people kept turning up. It was decorated with dark wood and red, the usual Thai scent in the air, and a host of staff who were super friendly and attentive who even greeted us by bowing and speaking Thai.
As soon as we sat down we were given the huge menus as well as an assortment of prawn crackers and spicy sauce, and left to loiter over the choices. It’s genuinely quite a large, yet organised, menu that it’s organised by numbers – similar to that of your local Chinese take away.
About 10 hours later after our mini catch-up, we were ready to decide on the mains. This is what I went with in the end:
Kai Kratiam: Stir fried chicken with garlic and pepper
Kao Niew: Sticky rice
Both of these dishes actually came to under £10, and it was a whoppin’ portion which I couldn’t even finish. But seriously, they just smelt so good – sometimes restaurants can smell a bit odd because of the different smells of flavours that blend together. Admittedly, considering the big flavours that are in Thai food, including the huge amount of garlic they use, it smelt amazing in there.
Our plates were decorated with huge ornate flowers, and the little details really counted. I noticed that my dish was really saucy, which is great when you’ve got sticky rice, as I feel you need a little more oomph in there. I genuinely think the chicken to veg ration was a little tipped towards poultry, which is a great thing, but each spoonful was just overpowered by chicken – not a negative thing, however.
The vegetables were still super crispy, and they even threw some onions in there – actually, whilst I’m writing this up, I’m thinking I may have been given chicken, onions, and peppers in a black bean sauce instead. HA.
Speaking to the staff they were from Bangkok, so their attitude and food was not faked in the slightest. I’m overjoyed that I’ve been able to find a gem like this just off my doorstep.

The Meeting is such a quality find in Enfield. I’ve tried a lot of Thai food and this place is authentic and dependent on quality. The boss Bruce is so friendly and he really makes sure every part of his establishment is of high standard. The staff are attentive and are professional. All the food I’ve had from here is so tasty and never inconsistent. I recommend their curries!

Have always ordered takeaway from here many times before and never been disappointed. First time coming here and we ordered various different dishes, from chicken to fish and duck. Small inside but very comfortable. Desserts were ok but the mains and starters tasted so good. Will definitely come back here. Loved the fish cakes!

Been meaning to try this place for a really long time now and the reviews were good so thought we would try this place out. This place is so cute inside and looks super authentic. The menu is longggg but if you have an idea of what you want it’s super easy to navigate. They also do meal combos for 2+ people. They have Thai beer, cocktail menu & various wines. We came in a Sunday afternoon for a late-ish dinner and it was packed (def do reservations) but we didn’t even have to wait and we were seated right away. Everything is fresh and wonderfully spiced. Def try it, we went super basic but they are the dishes I was craving all week. Sometimes a girl just wants a simple pad thai and skewers with peanut sauce. Will def go back and explore the curries/massaman or hot pot next time. Service was also friendly, quick & efficient

Starters aren’t the best, customer service was good and so was the atmosphere.
Got the chicken pad Thai and some pork flat noodles, the flat noodles were undercooked but the pad Thai was pretty good, best Thai you’ll get in Enfield /Edmonton imo, would go again
Got the ribs aswelll, they were really good, strongly recommend.
Went here another time for a birthday and got a free gift! Good for bookings

This place should be really nice in the summer, the service is good and the food was very nice. The entrance is a bit different, or maybe I just chose the odd door. Anyway the food is well worth it.

Wow what an amazing place. Had we not been recommended we probably wouldn’t think to go to a restaurant in that location but once hyou are inside the decor, music and lemongrass diffusers make you feel like you are in a top Thai restaurant with the tranquility of a spa. The food is incredible, one of the best Thai meals we've had and so reasonable. The mixed starter platter is incredible and the Thai green curry and beef red curry were the best. Staff were all so nice and service fantastic. Couldn’t fault the place and can’t wait to go back there to try some more dishes.

First time having Thai and the food was unreal! Best thing Ive ever had, my favourite food has always been Chinese until now. Food was outstanding.
Service was great as well, amazing time there!

The food was very nice and the portion was generous. We ordered sharing platter starter for 5 , beef green curry , grilled Sea bass and one dessert. We really enjoyed every single one. Fresh well cooked food and nice clean table/cutleries. The reason for 4 star rating is because I believe the food was a bit pricey for the quality and the location which is not even London. I have been in other Thai restaurants in Knightsbridge and central London and they cost slightly less.

Friday night dinner here. Very well stuffed with good customer service. Good vegan and vegetarian options which was good to see. Had the pad kring tofu which was tasty and the spring rolls for starters. All good. Best to book and you have 90 minutes for meal. Popular local restaurant.
