Curry Leaf - Exeter - Photo album

The best dosas in Exeter bar none. Also all desserts and chutneys homemade. Fab!
The food was really good. You'll definitely like this if you've been to Kerala or elsewhere in South India. As you can tell from the other reviews, opinion is divided but I'd say if you're expecting a British-style curry then here's not really the place. I've been to South India and adored the food
We had the Chicken curry made with roasted coconut and lamb with spinach. Flavours were impressive. Thought the portions were adequate. Courteous young waiter, very attentive. Bit more pricy that your average curry house but this is south Indian curry. Thought it was worth it. Will be back.
Don’t be put off by the bright ceiling lights and decor - the South Indian food here is exquisite. Everything is freshly made, light and tastes delicious. The food is very reasonably priced and the service is excellent. It is also open much later than other restaurants on the same street. I heartily
The food has been delicious every time I have been to Curry Leaf. The interior is a little unusual.. but it seems to draw a seasoned, regular clientele who know what good, well-prepared, authentic south Indian food tastes like.
Very good southern Indian restaurant. I started with the Masala Dosa, which is the best I've had outside of Londons Rasa (55 Stoke Newington Church St, Stoke Newington, London N16 0AR). For main I had the Malabar Chicken Masala, which I would recommend to anyone who isn't familiar to southern Indian
Excellent food and friendly service. The decor is just ok - location was a cafe prior to it becoming The Curry Leaf and it's been updated just enough. Who cares when the food is this good. My favourite Indian restaurant in Exeter.
A bit pricier than the other local curry joints but well worth it. The curries are not what you typically expect (ie don't all taste the same) and with wonderfully nuanced flavour and spicing. Especially recommend the fish curries.
Great food! My husband said it was the best South Indian meal he'd had since he visited Madras many years ago. He even commented that the decor and amenities were authentic ;-)
The decor is poor. The food makes up for it. It has many vegetarian options. Staff cool Price Average Worth a go for sure. The place was packed so it is very popular And it seems that a girl called Mandy had a bad day according to her review* I am so glad I ignored her rant and went along and it
The chef is from Kerala and that's reflected in the menu. I had a masala dosa. It came with sambhar and chutney. Perfect for lunch. I'll definitely go back and try some more food. Great to have proper south Indian food here.
Very friendly and welcoming South Indian restaurant, serving a small selection of delicious food. Don't expect the smartest décor or widest selection of food, this is reflected in the prices. Have visited several times and will visit again. My recommendation is that you try the lamb dosa.
Excellent! A reallly unique Indian experience. Very authentic, fresh and great service. If you like a Tika masala with a garlic nann and chips, then go to the dodgy restaurant down the road. If you like the real deal and beautifully prepared and flavoured food then visit here.
