On a brief visit to Exeter and needed a bite to eat. After a quick look around Opa Taverna was selected. It did not disappoint.
A selection of starters and a Greek salad provided a very tasty meal that more than satisfied.
Brilliant Greek food with a twist and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful.
Highly recommended.
Amazing service and wonderful food. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, tidy and welcoming. We will definitely be back very soon.
Amazing fresh food with wonderful and patient service . The staff recommended me some really good things like the Feta cheese with Honey and the Kodaifi with ice cream. Would definitely recommend this place
Been meaning to come and try this Greek restaurant. Highly recommended.
Very authentic Greek cuisine and family owned. Customer service was top notch very friendly and helpful.
Came here for a lads night and we all loved the food. Very tasty and they even had proper Greek and Cyprus beer (Mythos and Keo), both good beers to try.
We ordered the calamari, saganaki, feta psiti, and loukaniko. Great starters.
For mains the souvlaki and stifado, tasty but felt portion sizes could be bigger.
And desserts... can't remember what they were, but good.
If they could serve free bread, that'll make it VERY authentic (but we still got full haha), and their pitta breads are homemade.
Will come again if I can.
On an overnight stay in Exeter, we came to Opa for dinner. It has a real taverna feel. We opted for a selection of starters which left us completely satisfied. Everything was done to perfection and some of the traditional starters had interesting little twists which just added to the deliciousness. Greek classics with a difference, all served by a knowledgeable and very helpful waitress called Natalie. She took great care with my allergies without making me feel like 'a problem', which is what a lot of restaurants do. She even educated me about the prevalence of sumac allergy which I wasn't aware of! 10/10 all round and wish we could come back sometime. Thank you!
Visited today with the family, lovely decor, nice relaxed atmosphere. Service overall was ok, although the younger staff could use a refresher/ training in general customer service.
Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Early evening men 2 courses for £15, good selection to choose from. Drinks and alcohol prices on steep side (£3 for a small bottle of fanta.)
Will visit again an recommend going for an easy meal out
This taverna gives exceptional service.
My daughters gave me a surprise Greek night in my garden and ordered lots of food from here. The chef went above and beyond to cater for us and everything we ordered was freshly cooked and very yummy.
If I could give 10 stars I would.
Well done Opa!
We eat here very often as the food is so good. The welcome is warm and friendly and the service great. Everything is fresh and tasty and the specials are unexpected treats. Never been disappointed with any choice from the menu.
The best Greek food we have ever had and at great value for money too. Everything is fresh and tasty each time without fail.
What a great restaurant and lovely staff. I ordered the garlic mushrooms and moussaka, and it was great….even though i burnt my mouth as the food was so hot but i just wanted to eat it! The Chef even popped out to have a chat and see how we liked the food. It was pretty empty when we were there but that was because everyone that had booked, had not turned up and had not even called to let the owners know, which we thought was extremely rude and felt so sorry for them. It doesn’t take much to pick up a phone. I just hope that Opa is still there when I visit my family again next year so that I can take my Husband. I totally recommend this restaurant.
