Georges Meeting House - Exeter - Photo album

Just popped in here for a quick meal after a 300-mile drive, so I needed food quick and, of course, a refreshing drink. Vet good value for money......chicken strips, chips, coleslaw and sauce, and a pint of lager all under £10. Yes, I know wetherspoons food is microwaved, but when you are as desperat
It was very early so not many people there, I had a lovely veggie breakfast two coffee's and one hot chocolate all good.
Quite loud and difficult to hear conversation. The staff are polite, and the food is reasonably priced but it doesn't taste wonderful. I guess steak chips and a drink for £12 isn't bad. I would go here for breakfast, but not for the steak night again.
I'm not by no means a pub expert, but this is one of the best pubs I have visited in my short stay in Exeter. I haven't tried the food, so I don't have the full picture of the place. However, nice to take a pint at the end of the day. If you're here during the summer, I can recommend the terrace for
You simply cannot beat a Spoons for value for money and a great atmosphere. George's is a converted church and is beautifully converted. It's very spacious, so finding a table isn't a problem. There's also a great outside area in the summer.
It's a well run Wetherspoons pub offering good value food and drinks in a beautiful historic meeting house. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Mid week special offers. Easy on the wallet.
This is a beautifully refurbished 18th century turt Chapel ! Great location and spacious seatings downstairs, beautiful courtyard garden seating area and some on the mezzanine floor. Friendly and efficient staff during our visit Definitely another nice place to visit in Exeter Town centre..
Lovely place to visit as with most wetherspoons odd buildings , Nice staff , own my own on a Sunday evening so not best to be judged But was ok , only had drinks
Fantastic building, really stunning. Bar staff super helpful, prepared fantastic G&T. Lost a star with the chicken burger, charcoal burger 😁
Lovely range of seating. Downstairs, upstairs and a nice outside area too. Tables weren’t clean but what can you expect it’s a spoons.
It's a converted Chapel in centre of Exeter. Plenty of room downstairs plus seating upstairs when open. Food was typical Spoons and service when ordered on app was pretty fast. Good value for money.
It's a wetherspoons, so expect mediocre food and cheap beer. Though, using an old church, really cool venue and more spaces at the back and beer garden. Will be very full when busy. But had a great time here for my leaving do, and meeting my friends!
My favourite Weatherspoons in Exeter. Right in the town centre but the hen/stag nights out don't normally reach here. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is your general Weatherspoons food, nothing exciting but still enjoyable. Bottomless hot drinks is my favourite thing and sitting up
We went to George's meeting house last Friday night for food and drinks staff were very friendly, food was great and came very quickly after ordering, completely different from chevalier were they didn't have any wine glasses because as one of staff told it was because they bought cheap wine glasses
Go here instead of the Chevalier. A Good Wetherspoons, but it's not quite big enough. If you get here at later than 8pm on a Friday or Saturday, good luck finding a table. Upstairs has a cool balcony section.
Think this may be the first time I’ve awarded a Wetherspoons 5 stars! We passed a “Spoons” in the high street but it didn’t look all that inviting so made our way around the this one. This branch is located in a former Presbyterian chapel and has retained a lot of the features. The guy on the door
Visited with friends, Sunday afternoon. Pub and toilets clean etc. Fairly quiet, quick, friendly service at the bar. had a couple of cold ones in the beer garden in the sun.
Amazing place. Wetherspoons always treat their conversions with respect to the heritage. This was a Unitarian Chapel. The gallery, pulpit and stained glass remain. Good food, fast bar service. Takes a while to clear the tables.. but it is a Spoons, so what's new! Outside seating, family friendly, ch
