Service and food were excellent; I just wish there was more belly pork. But the portion sizes, in my opinion, were just right for three courses, though honestly, I was full after the main. The only thing I had an issue with was the acoustics; it was sometimes difficult to hear my friends speaking, so a lot of leaning forward. Other than that, I would say it's one of the best Italians in Exeter and rank in my top 10 of Italians I have been to around Britain.
Amazing food and nice atmosphere! I've already been three times for lunch and dinner. I'd say it's worth going for lunch, as you pay much less for the same thing! Service is good as well. I'd recommend to book a table in advance as it gets busy! It's a popular restaurant!
Excellent Italian restaurant, just right for lunch during a day out shopping. Good selection of starters, mains and desserts with vegetarian options. Drinks were from a broad range, alcoholic, non alcoholic and many teas and coffees
Lovely smaller restaurant set in a small square near hubbox and llyods lounge food was expensive but you get the flavours and taste. Service was amazing especially from Daniel.
Really lovely pleasant restaurant. Food was excellent because I think it is family run, and not a chain. Being brought up on Italian food, I can honestly say the pasta was excellent and the sauce was good.
The pizza's were cooked out of a pizza oven large in size. Prices good Value for money. The second time yesterday was to sabatinis, decided to meet up with family. We are four vegetarians, and we are glad they had a new lunchtime menu. Lots more choice for a vegetarian in the starters and Maine. Still a reasonable price for a two course meal for lunch. Again, it was delicious. You will not be disappointed.
Booked a lunch for my daughter's 30th birthday.
Literally cannot fault this restaurant! From the excellent, attentive service to the delicious food everything was perfect.
Alex was so lovely and helpful, patient too as we took forever to order!
Will definitely return and highly recommend.
Had lunch here during the week, very good experience. Had the pork with crackling as a starter, was great, crackling was fantastic, just the right amount of crunch. Main was chicken with spaghetti in sauce, again the food was fantastic, the only problem was that it was so filling that we only had room for a coffee after, the deserts looked great as well but had to forgo the pleasure. In short a very good place to eat.
Great little restaurant with a calm vibe. Food was pretty good with great service. I don't have any complaints. Would definitely and do plan to go again when in Exeter. The food was well presented, which is always a plus.
Ambiance: 5/5 music soft and low, right lighting
Hygiene: 4/5 everything was spotless
Service: 5/5 brilliant service. We were served even after 4pm.
Starters: 5/5 calamari was in big pieces, better than pressos (hint), rice balls were amazing and garlic bread with caramelized onions was great.
Mains: 4/5 delicious and huge portion sizes
Dessert: 5/5 tiramisu was brilliant, not like supermarket ones which taste of alcohol, this was more creamy and chocolatey. Cheesecake with pistachio was very creamy and tasty.
Overally, great experience, I recommend.
Please note that parking in the area is not great, navigate to Cathedral Yard for parking as it's closer than what Google recommends.
Sabatini is like a little taste of Italy in Exeter. A warming, cozy place but also feels upscale and recent. Staff were really nice and polite, had a starter, main and dessert (as you can see below), all came out in good time and hot. Plus a choice of extra parmesan which is always great.
Would definitely recommend to any Italian cuisine lovers.
There was a misunderstanding about our reservation but the manager was wonderful.
We had a fabulous meal and the staff were all great. I would definitely go again and recommend to anyone travelling to Exeter.
A delightful, friendly resteraunt who are attentive and care about their customers experience. The food is exceptional and a credit to the kitchen team. Never had a bad experience at their resteraunt yet.
Great lunchtime meal out with family for my birthday meal.
The starters and main had by all were lovely, great tasting and filling.
Highly recommended.
Delicious italian food and quick service. Would recommend to anyone.
We had arancini for a starter shared between two people and main dish carbonara and chicken and we were both pretty full.
Loved the decor also.
Italian restaurant with good choice of items and well cooked and presented
Lloyds Kitchen is definitely one of my favourites for breakfast and brunch! I feel so good when I go there, food is so good and the staff always makes me smile and gives me such a positive vibe! Love it!
Had a fantastic evening as always, what I would recommend is the menu needs updating, maybe add Risotto and different pasta other than all being with linguine. Take care Paul
A bit noisy and hot, but then it was a sweltering Friday evening! The service here is excellent: friendly, attentive, helpful. The food is good, though slightly pricey for bistro standard. The cajun calamari and cod taco starters were particularly tasty; the bruschetta in the crab starter was a bit hard. For mains, I enjoyed the fish of the day (hake); my companions liked the roast pork tenderloin and cornfed chicken. The dessert menu was a bit limited and nothing grabbed our fancy.
