A quirky, nice place finished in art deco styling.
The food was pretty good, tasty and well presented. On this visit, unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up with what was served with our starters, and the tiny portion of halibut for 1 of the main courses at £29 was derisory.

My wife and I visited The Chronicle last week for dinner, and what a lovely experience it was. We were welcomed warmly by Eloise who was very kind and patient, giving us advise on the menu and consulting with the Chef on possible choices. The meals, when they came, were absolutely delicious as was the wine, and the desert, chocolate brownie with cream, was utterly divine. We had a perfect evening in The Chronicle, and recommend it highly.

4 adults and 2 children had the Sunday roast and all of us thought the food was excellent. 3 of the group also had desserts which were equally good, in particular the sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate brownie.
I would definitely go back to The Chronicle!

Pleasant restaurant a stones throw from where we were staying. We had a meal here for our anniversary with our 6 month old. Staff were great, attentive and friendly. Good range of dishes with some very nice seafood on offer.

Had a gorgeous evening meal at The Chronicle. Absolutely delicious food. Brilliant, warm, friendly, courteous service from booking through to leaving.
The restaurant itself has beautiful aesthetics and a great atmosphere.
You could tell the food was fresh and of high quality, and, it was cooked to perfection.
This restaurant really is a gem in Exmouth’s crown.

Gorgeous and quirky restaurant 5 minutes from exmouth seafront. We had breakfast - the food was fresh and tasted great. The lunch and dinner menu looked lovely but we didn't get chance to try it. The decor is striking and modern - I absolutely loved it. The staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you, we will be back!

Completely by chance my friend and I noticed the beautiful and stylishly decorated Chronicle , on Sunday 16th July .
We stayed because the music was unobtrusive and pleasant.
We enjoyed a generous portion of Roast Beef and Roast Pork . Well presented with courtesy by the friendly staff .
The decor reminded me of a 1927 Film ‘ Metropolis ‘ .
I recommend this restaurant for its attention to detail .
