We live near Exmouth and enjoy visiting this charming little cafe and shop. The food is always fresh and excellent quality, the service is polite and welcoming, and when I visit with my grandson, I feel safe that his food allergies are catered for. It gets busy and we sometimes queue, but it’s well worth it. Only wish it was open in the summer evenings.

This is the 1st ice cream vendor that has ever asked if I have allergies. He then pointed out those containing egg (my allergy) and proceeded to change his gloves and get a new unused scoop as well as ice cream from a tub that had not been with the other flavours. I was extremely impressed. He also asked my friends who had no allergy the same. Usually wherever I eat out o have to ask if anything has egg or point out no coleslaw or mayo as a side dish on salads etc. The ice cream was perfect.

I always go to Fortes when I’m in Exmouth for a Kelly’s Cornish ice cream (the ice cream of my childhood!). They sell a great selection of the different flavours of Kelly’s ice cream here and it’s in a nice spot by the beach with lots of nearby benches.

I’m a Costa coffee lover…however I ditched their coffee for Fortes for my weeks holiday! Fab coffee and the friendly staff knew our order within a couple of days! Fortes is extremely popular and it’s a credit to the staff and of course their coffee. Thanks guys! See you in a few months!

My wife and I have been visiting Exmouth seafront for many years and have found the staff extremely friendly. Ben and Phoebe are always polite and engage in conversation when walk the dog. They make a great hot chocolate which is perfect for this time of year.

Stopped here for a spot of afternoon cake and hot chocolate, ordered a Rocky Road and lemon drizzle cake, both really nice. The hot chocolate was the best I've had this week, and I've had plenty (at least two a day), including one at my favourite (Whittard), well worth paying that little bit extra for whipped cream and marshmallows 😋 😀.

Staff so friendly and polite, on arrival went straight to the counter and sat at the table on the front. The views are fantastic looking out over the bay. Ice cream selections are plentiful and local toilets to the rear. Coffee was fantastic and although just visiting the area would recommend a visit.

Great Kelly's ice cream. Especially the cherry Bakewell flavour. Lots of flavours to choose from, have a sugar cone to make it even better. Also do food and teas and coffees here if you are that way inclined, did I mention the ice cream though!
