Beautiful country pub in the Peak District.
We had lunch with friends and everything was perfect: the food (great fish and chips, fantastic pie), the beer, and the cozy atmosphere.
The village is worth seeing.
Top experience.

This is a lovely pub with wonderful rooms in a great part of the country. The only issue we had was a chef not turning up one morning and his replacement being less than excellent. All other staff were wonderful.

Pre-booked an evening meal as a couple whilst staying in the village. Food was excellent. Freshly prepared and really tasty. Staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks topped up. Highly recommend a visit and we hope to come back soon!

We were staying in the village and enjoyed a lunch and an evening meal. Both meals fabulous.
The host was friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, the food was well cooked, presented well and tasted delicious.Could not have asked for better and so reasonably priced.
Thank you!

We had 2 meals while staying in the village and both were fantastic. The market fish option was really good, sea bass with a caper butter sauce one night and with a mildly curried sauce the other, and my husband had the home made burger which was tasty and generous. Highly recommended. Friendly service and a good choice of beer too.

Popped in for a drink whilst out on a walk. Lovely pub with friendly staff with a selection of lagers and ales, including one from Eyam brewery. Seating available outside.
When we visited they were serving roast dinners which looked good.

Stopped for dinner which was pure-booked. Table was ready and waiting but, despite being notified in advance that three of our party are vegans there seemed to be some confusion over this. Actually, they worked it out and the food was lovely and well priced. Friendly service, dogs welcomed and a nice atmosphere. Well done.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch and would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly with our dog and the food was lovely! We were very surprised at the quality of the food and the reasonable prices! We stayed in an AirBnB in the village and visited the pub because it was convenient, but if we're in the area, we'd definitely go back! Thank you!

We had a delicious lunch of posh sandwiches served with great chips and salad, sitting in the sunshine in this picturesque village.
I has roasted pepper and avocado sandwiches on sourdough bread - possibly the best sandwiches I've ever had! And excellent value for money.
The beer was good too, and the service very friendly.
Thank you!

4 of us had a lovely meal here tonight. Service was perfect..friendly and helpful and not intrusive.
We had between us
Pork and mustard pie
Crumbed hake
Lamb rump
And it was all delicious. The pud...a scrumptious chocolate Marquise was recommended and was excellent!
A lovely evening altogether. We'll be back !
