My family and I went to the UK on vacation earlier in the year and we stopped by here on our way to catch the ferry over to Dublin and we loved it! The service was great and the food was amazing. I am not sure if this person was the owner or not but he was curious about our travels and welcomed us to the country with a pint of larger on draft. While our stay in the UK was not long, this was definitely the best service we had! Will go back when I return to the UK! 🫰🏻

Came for a meal with my mother and two boys. Both are fussy eaters and my youngest is autistic and they absolutely loved the food! Perfect little garden area my boys loves it and wants to go back for more food ha! Atmosphere was great and lovely service. Kelly was fantastic, very helpful and helped us choose from the menu with some great options. Will definitely be back soon.

There were eight of us and so not easy to work with I am sure. Your staff were very good though. We each ordered and asked if we could all get our food served at the same time. Well done it was perfect.
Ordering was a little slow, I had to give my order three times! ( Would be nicer if the lady could have come to the table but I understand that you require money up front)
The food was a hit with everyone although I am not sure that butterfly cauliflower was the correct description for my starter. Overall well-done team

What a great place. We called in on the off chance and was seated fairly quickly. I had the ultimate southern fried chicken burger which was beautiful. Lots of options for everyone. A wonderful experience and will definitely be going back.

The food was delicious, we ordered the tuna melt baguette, a spicy burger and a southern fried burger. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing for a pub lunch. Kelly was really friendly at the bar and with our food order, checking all was ok and if we needed anything - thank you 😊

Hazel the barmaid recommended for us to come here for food and drink and it was really nice. The food was great with no complaints from any of the four of us who came here and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend the Dog and Partridge to others and will be coming back sometime soon.

Such a friendly pub, had a lovely meal today, My hubby had the sunday lunch its the best, very reasonably priced. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus. I have nothing but praise for this pub. Staff are always so nice.

First time here, we arrived about 5:30pm for a meetup with friends, the table had been booked so we all sat around a nice large table, there were not many people in when we arrived, it is quite a large spaced out pub, so it felt a bit empty . We were greeted warmly by staff and ordered drinks, you can order food by an app or directly from the bar, which we did and paid upfront. The menu was good traditional pub food, nothing over fancy. We didn't have too long to wait and when it arrived it was good and hot. There was a large garden seating area at the back, and I would imagine it would be popular on warm days. The only problem I had was there is a raised seating area towards the back of the pub and if you are not careful you can miss the step as I did, but no damage done just a few drops of my drink. All in all a good place for a natter with friends and food

We absolutely love the dog and partridge for food. We can bring our dog with us and they have a doggie menu which is lovely!
The staff are always so lovely and make a massive fuss of my dog which we greatly appreciate.
The food is always super delicious and really well priced. We always recommend the pub to our friends and family.

Visited Friday afternoon with my granddaughter. We were served by Charlotte who was friendly, very welcoming and even recommended items from the menu. Food was hot and delicious and empty plates returned to the kitchen! Will definitely be back!

Popped into the Dog and Partridge for a family meal and we had an amazing time! We were served by Rebecca who gave us incredible service. She was very helpful and she explained all the different menu options and answered all of our questions. The food was amazing too! First time I've been to the Dog & Partridge and had a really good evening. Went for food and was happy to see vegan options on the menu. The vegan honeycomb chocolate tart was delicious. We were served by Charlotte who was very friendly and gave a great service. Will be going again.

Three ladies had a fish and chip meal from the pub classic menu which is £6 on Tuesday. It was delicious ( and I'm fussy about my fish). Chunky succulent cod in a lightly coated batter and traditional mushy peas. Presentation was also very good as was the service. Our young waiter was very attentive and courteous. I've had poor meals and service there in the past so I was more than pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be returning 🙂

The beautiful smell of the food hits you as you walk through the door as if to promise you a fantastic meal and it didn't fail to deliver. To say it was the best carvery I have ever had is undisputed and my girlfriend is a fussy eater and nine times out of ten leaves some of the meal but she cleared the plate, as did my mum.
Me and my girlfriend have special needs and they catered the service in that respect. The supervisor Holly and their new recruit Reece provided an enjoyable experience for us all and the prices were very reasonable as the portions were very generous. My compliments must go to the chef as I don't normally eat new potatoes but they were delicious.
Thank you for a fantastic night and you'll certainly see us return again soon.

We had never been before yet were very pleasantly surprised.
The pub was clean and spacious with great decor and an awesome large outdoor area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Service was quick and efficient. Good portions of tasty food ..not exactly Michelin star style but great pub food. Will be back.

What a difference new management makes! New menu, better clientele and atmosphere. We were here on Friday evening. The food was lovely; really tasty and stayed hot until we had finished. Really good value for money also. This is our local and we had eaten here a couple of times previously but the food wasn’t great. Definitely eating here again very soon. Very friendly manager who seems to have a good idea of how to make this place a success along with being a lovely environment to relax in. Well done � X

Came here 18mths ago was not happy with food/service thought would give it another go defo wont be coming back. Order starters with kids meal & starter for us all foid came together & we still waiting for our starter. Chips dry & luke warm scampi deep fried to death, pizza was done on a flat bread, mash very watery on a plus the pie was nice on the whole wont be returning

Myself and my partner have been to the Dog on numerous occasions for food and drinks, we both ordered rump steaks-medium rare with an extra portion of seasonal vegetables- the steak was more than well done, it was burnt and dried out and the chips were cold, the meal came with garden peas, again cold! Then our seasonal vegetables arrived and low and behold more garden peas, again cold with around 8 cold sliced carrots - we love going in for drinks but will not be ordering food again

Came yesterday for drinks in the sun trap garden and stayed for monday steak night which was lovely! Mixed grill was gorgeous! Would have been nice to eat outside on such a lovely day as you have to come inside to eat the grill menu not sure why. Had a very nice prosecco cocktail too :)

Some bad reviews on here but I have no complaints at all. Came down with my daughter on a Monday evening for grill night, freindly staff and lovely food at a good price. Really felt as if I had come to the country for a while � oh and desserts yummy too . think this will be a regular thing.

Went here planning on having something to eat on a sunny evening but were abruptly asked were we eating inside or out as there was a different menu for outside as they couldn't keep up with the demand, then mentioned something about the sun being out, we weren't even offered the outside menu so drank our drinks and left to eat somewhere else, I could understand if it was busy but it wasn't, think the guy behind the bar needs to have some lessons on dealing with the public as he was very rude !!

Great Roast<br/><br/>We had a family Sunday lunch here. Very good we were all very pleased. Tasty starters and yummy puds. Wine started at £13.75 a bottle and very good. Friendly staff. Lovely garden especially for kids.
