Lovely place, staff are superb, very keen to please. I wish I could say that the food was absolutely first class, but to be nitpicky, time was when you got a good helping of it.
Seems that since Covid/C.O.L. portions appear to be a bit meagre.

Prior to Covid we visited weekly - cost of living now impacting hard but loved to return to the Running Horse. Lovely food, friendly staff, comfortable environment.

Food was really good..been in a couple of times now and not had a bad meal in here,good value for money and a reasonable plate full. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We booked in for a Christmas Breakfast with the elves. The kids were very excited, when we got there they were not disappointed. We were met by Donna the Elf and shown to our table, sat amongst other families enjoying the same event. Our order was taken and food arrived very quickly cooked perfectly
Food cooked exactly how we asked ie Steak. Served on a hot plate. Always a plus in my book. Young Lady was new but did a good job despite not knowing where things were on the order screen.
