Decided to try the Crown in Fakenham as they do a Carvery on a Sunday, but what swayed us even more to go there was they allow dogs and there is a Dog Menu. We did phone a couple of days before to make sure we would get a table, which was in the bar because we were taking our dog. On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming and showed us to our table. We ordered drinks non alcoholic for me and a coke for the wife, and ordered and paid for our Carvery at the same time. Our dog had a Carvery too he could choose between Beef or Turkey, he had the Turkey with roast spuds, veg and Yorkshire pudding obviously no gravy. I went to the restaurant to get our meals, today's meat choice were Beef, Gammon, Turkey and Pork with Crackling very nice too. I decided that we would have a bit of every meat and it was cooked to perfection. Then you moved along the counter there were roast spuds, roast Parsnips, stuffing balls, big Yorkshire puddings, Cauliflower Cheese. Moving further along were the veg, Peas, Broccoli, Carrots, Red Cabbage, Sweet Corn and French Beans. Obviously there was Gravy and all the Condiments that accompany the Meats. To be honest our plates were big but they couldn't cope with the amount of food piled on them. The food was very nice and hot everything was cooked very well and really tasty and the prices were very reasonable Adult Carvery £12.95 and the Dog Carvery was £3.95 which came in a big dog bowl full to the top. If we are still in the area next week we will be booking again, highly recommend The Crown's Sunday Carvery.
Had a beautiful carvery lunch and hot pudding here. The food and service were first class.
The room was very big with a very big bathroom, comfortable and warm ,it was room two plenty of hanging space and drawers coffee and tea making facilities, towels in bathroom, the first night we had dinner in the bar I had Lamb it was excellent the best I had had in along time my husband had Gammon said it was very good .
Fantastic customer service, I had ordered takeaway carvery only to have left behind half my order, one message later Ali is in her car and driving 15 miles to deliver the rest, I honestly can not recommend highly enough, Thank you, p.s the food is absolutely delicious
Booked for Sunday lunch with family that had come to visit us, my nephew is autistic and doesn’t really eat anything. I mentioned this when booking the table and the staff immediately went out of there way to try to accommodate and really wanted to try to get something for him, when we arrived they handed me a lovely chocolate cake as I had said that was pretty much all he would eat. thought this was really thoughtful and such a nice touch, lunch was delicious and enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for going out of your way to make our visit enjoyable.

Visited for a Sunday carvery as hadn’t indulged in one for some time.
It’s a nice pub and service was good.
There was a selection of 3 roasts available, beef, pork and turkey of which a generous amount is provided by the cook. There was a good selection of veg including cauliflower and cheese, carrots, peas, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.
I’ve downgraded to 4 stars as I was disappointed with the gravy with was very runny and definitely needed thickening up. In addition the plates provided were rather small meaning that if you wanted a selection of what was on offer you essentially had to create a mountain on your plate which made eating it rather tricky. Larger plates would make for a far more pleasant eating experience.

Went for Sunday carvery today. Our 1st ever visit. What a beautiful place this is! Walked straight into the bar, which felt very welcoming.
The chef was very welcoming and friendly, the food was amazing! The meats melted in our mouths! Eveything was delicious.. A definite must if you in the area. Will definitely return soon. Great food at amazing value
Lovely staff and atmosphere, liked the music choice behind the bar but absolutely loved chef Kaiya’s street food…. and his homemade chilli sauce was an unexpected treat! Will definitely be back 😁

We were double booked at a different place & the crown came to the rescue! Thanks so much for your kind hospitality & saving our bacon (and the breakfast bacon was delicious!). Comfortable room, good sleep & really friendly service. Will recommend & come back.
Came to The Crown for dinner at the restaurant. Lovely food, everything was cooked really beautifully. The rosemary chips were large but still managed to be crispy in the right places.
It was very quiet as it was the first Monday opening for dinner. But we were still served with the same level of diligence and respect had there been other customers.
We are on holiday and found the Crown experience so good we have had 5 meals here. The food/ menu is excellent. The staff charming and helpful. Ambience warm and relaxed. Couldn’t be happier. Top notch.
