Quite simply the best fish and chips I've had as long as I can remember. Came here as it was Monday and most of the sea front restaurants were shut so decided to grab fish and chips and take them to the Solent sea front. Really glad we did and couldn't imagine a restaurant could do better. Will definatley visit next time!
The staff a little blunt and assertive, but the fish and chips are delicious.
This is our favourite chippy! We usually pre order and collect. It's always a smooth operation when visiting Stubbing chippy... (usually on the way to the Monks Hill Car Park to watch the planes fly out from Daedalus right above your head)
From London and stayed locally for the weekend. Was refreshing to see such a well-run operation serving the local community. Everybody working was switched on, focused, professional, polite. The food was fresh, high quality. Had all the charm of a small neighbourhood fish and chip but with a slick/smooth operation that allows it to serve 100s of customers a night. It was really a sight to behold and unlike anything I’ve seen in London in a very long time.

Really enjoyed our boxed fish and chips meal. Good value for money with mushy pea, gravy or curry sauce along with tartar sauce. Good sized portion, fresh and very tasty
Very clean, friendly fish and chip shop. Had cod and chips. Whilst tasty and portions fantastic there was hardly any salt or vinegar on my chips (but still lovely big proper chips) and the fish was a little greasy but I think that's because it had just come out of the fryer. Will definitely go back though. Easily the best chip shop around the fareham/stubbington area.
Great fish and chips. A good selection of alternatives to fish such as Pies, sausages, savaloy etc. Fast and efficient service especially if you order through the app.
Order in advance. A 'large chips' is 2-3 times what your average takeaway provides. Excellent quality. The queues can get very long. Same quality, quantity, and value for money for at least a decade.
Regularly use this chippy and the food is always very good. Only small issue is the size of the chip portions, We always get a family sized portion and sometimes there’s loads and sometimes hardly enough to go around.
We used Stubbington fish and Chip Shop to feed 40 guests at a 70th birthday party this weekend. It was absolutely perfect! From ordering to delivery on the day everything was made super easy and convenient. The food was delivered in individual, labelled boxes, in food bags, making it so easy and quick to serve to our guests. The food was lovely and hot and portion size perfect. So many people commented on the quality of the food! It was half the price of some other catering companies we had quotes from too! I can not fault a thing! We are so proud to support our local shop.
