Best fish and chips in Portchester. Always delicious and great service by the lovely couple who run the place. Highly recommend.

A lovely lady runs this takeaway. The food is excellent- always freshly cooked. They do senior specials which are brilliant value. They support local youth football too. You can phone in advance or drop in.

Now these guys don't do half bad fish and chips. I asked some of the locals before i went in. And they said its the Chippy of choice in the area. So I had fish and Chips there. Lovely people run it.
Compared to before, the chips felt slightly under cooked and the batter on the fish was a little greasy. But quite acceptable. Went again today. An improvement on last time but the battered sausage was still s bit disappointing in quality and texture.

The BEST fish and chip shop around by far!! Very cheap, very fresh, staff are very friendly and welcoming and the place looks so clean and tidy everytime I go there. You've got to be crazy to go the the other over priced, dirty chip shops in the area! Thanks dean! Keep up the good work :)

Best fish and chip shop in the area by a distance. Price, quality, service, cleanliness all taken into account if it were open more it would be better for me but the location makes it hard to sustain for long hours.

I am not local to this chippy just a man on his travels but reached the peckish lunch time hour so checked out google maps for a local pit stop. Castle Takeaway popped up about 2 miles out of my way but I had time, so in for lunch break.... By heavens I was driving a minibus empty but wish I'd have had passengers for all those chips & excellent quality. I've given 4 stars as I couldn't finish 3/4 of my chips to try anything else. Even if your not passing it's worth a trip out of your way.
Friendly staff and always amazing food, a must stop if your local and just want that good old British fish and chips!
