The Duke Of Cambridge, Tilford

Had two ales from the adjacent Tilford Brewery here; both amazingly fresh, served by friendly and efficient staff. Large kids playground at the end of the large garden. Didn't care much for the modern gastropub interior (a bit soulless), but with beer this well kept and great service, still merits five stars. (The veranda and garden are much nicer, although winter is coming!)

We’ve visited the Duke on many occasions over the past 9 years while staying regularly at the lodge retreat nearby.. the staff are lovely and always very welcoming and friendly. The locally brewed beer is superb and the pub/garden is very well kept, clean and inviting. Unfortunately the standard of the food has dropped considerably during the last few years.. the high prices do not reflect the quality and quantity of the food served… it really seems to be hit and miss here when dining unfortunately… some days we all enjoy our meals and other days we leave disappointed. Hopefully things will improve as the location is beautiful and the staff are great!

Superb meal this evening. Service was fantastic and the food absolutely delicious. Not the first time we've eaten here and will definitely return. My son was disappointed at the small portion on the pork belly and I have to agree with him that it wasn't a filling meal for the price but everything else was a good sized portion.

We stayed next door at Tilford Woods Lodges and paid several visits to The Duke during our weeks holiday. The pub is a in a beautiful setting with great surroundings, the food and drink was top quality and came with a great service from all of the staff we interacted with. There is a lovely beer garden and children's play area which our son enjoyed greatly. We hope to come back one day!

This was such a lovely experience. Starting with the downside, it's such a popular place that parking was an issue, however, once parked everything else was great. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The food was well presented and well cooked with a good menu. We arrived just before 2pm and left sometime after 4.15pm which to me speaks of a very enjoyable time.

First time visit and really enjoyed it. Food was excellent and staff friendly. Plenty of parking available and good choice on the menu . Didn't have to wait but I imagine it would get busy in the evenings as we went lunchtime and it was filling up, so a booking might be a good idea which can be done on their website. Maybe a little on the pricey side but in my opinion it was worth it.
