Delphine's Diner

We had a nice meal that seemed a bit more authentic Italian than other high street chains. We did have to wait about an hour for our food (probably due to the risotto) however we were complemented with some free wine for the delay. It was good that they acknowledged this a we didn't have to chase them.

Excellent food. Very nicely cooked and certainly seemed very fresh. Pizzas particularly nice. Disappointing though to have to wait for 25 minutes before even being able to order a drink and that was a only after stopping a passing waiter. After that, service was very good. One other bad point is the lighting level was very low and the older people in our party had no chance of being able to read the menu! Overall a good venue though and will happily return but will order drinks when we first sit down!

Went woth my family, 6 of us. Food took some time to come and when 3 of our party got theirs it was another 10 minutes, no joke, before the other 3 people got there's. The food is delicious but service just wasn't there. We would've had dessert but then didn't even come and ask us. In fairness my parents ts went again recently and they loved it this time. Said food and service was spot on. So we'll try it again because the food was nice. I don't like to sound ignorant but the menu was annoying, it was Italian and had to ask what things were. It simply was an effort to read the menu which isn't good in my opinion
