Thoroughly enjoyed this pub/restaurant. This will be our new regular fine out provider when we are visiting family in Burnley. My first visit to the sparrowhawk and I liked it. It's a place with character, a good start to me . We ordered drinks then went to our table. Service was excellent I might add, I had steak a starter, goats cheese with red pepper in croquettes cost £6.70 . Main course i had beef and ale pie £14.50
Went for my wife's birthday. Despite a tiny bit of confusion with the pre order the evening went very well. No problems with us bringing a birthday cake,you can't have a birthday without candles! The fishcakes were very good but let down by my main of chicken, dauphinois potato and green beans, I love dauphinois but these were extremely dry not creamy at all. A pleasant and relaxing environment, friendly and attentive staff. Appropriate health and safety measures and plenty of space available. Prompt service though at slightly above average service costs. Definitely recommend!
Met up with some of the family for a meal, we arrived early so we sat outside for a drink first, beautiful views. We then went in for are meals, very helpful and friendly staff and the food was excellent and very good portions. Was a very good afternoon!! Highly recommend!!
My husband and I had lunch here and we both enjoyed our meals. It's a nice place with friendly, welcoming staff. I have to avoid gluten and dairy for medical reasons and was able to have a good meal.
We had the steak and ale pie. Full of tender steak,no fat. Great meal. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely will be going again.
Went last week for a late lunch, the food options are really good, it came out quickly and looked fantastic, tasted great too! The gentleman who served us was very polite and couldn’t do more for us, we’ll definately be back!
