Updated as visited again. June and the staff were fantastic.
I have been staying at the premier inn on the same site as the smugglers and I haven’t got a bad thing to say about them. I’ve used them for breakfast where I had a full English. The staff are quick at serving as well as kind and polite. I have also been using them for dinner. I had the mixed grill which was an absolute delight. Nothing wrong with the food it was fantastic. Great service as well as a great atmosphere for everyone there. Will be back soon and can’t wait.

A typical Beefeater restaurant decor and atmosphere with decent quality food. Our visit was for the unlimited breakfast, which in itself was nice. The waitress was lovely and friendly but perhaps could have had some help as she was greeting people and seating them, taking orders, serving and topping up the continental buffet by herself. Overall, it is a good dining experience and value for money.
Visited Friday 23 September. Extremely good value for money. Most helpful & friendly staff. Danielle was as always outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Good meal, efficient in all ways. Highly recommend. Never have had a bad meal even when they are very busy. Full marks from me 100%.
Met up with friends here and it was our first time. The food was great and so was the service. It was lovely to sit in a restaurant and be able to talk to each other without overbearing background music. The waitress was very accommodating as some of the items that we were looking forward to on the sweet menu were unavailable. Would definitely recommend.

Kids meal is great! There were many options, sadly pizza and corn was not available that day. Good price and low salt/sugar. Strawberry yogurt win a price from my son.
Adult lunch meal is fair. We had steak , gammon steak, sandwiches. Steak was below average tho. We ordered 3 medium rare, one was over cooked. All three has quite a lot tendon. Sandwich was good. Gammon steak was fair. The soup was great.
Suggestion: give more options on sides. Ideally not only fries and chips. May be corns, green veggies , mashed potato.
Thank you Trini for looking after us. You're awesome and chatty and helped me with my awkward dietary requirements too. Food was great. Us Trio of ladies would like to come back again on one of your tables please... 5 stars to Trini please manager.
Overall great experience, no buffet breakfast which I prefer.
One of the breakfast waitresses is a bit strange.
Evening meals was great.
Stayed for the week so experienced a few meals.
Think like most places have staffing issues so couldn't get a table when I finished work but staff helpful & polite.
Great place to eat,always value for money.... lovely staff....just this time my steak was a wee bit fatty and tough but it will not stop me from returning.

After a very late arrival at the hotel we had a most welcome breakfast with fantastic service provided by June and the team. They were really helpful and the food was excellent.
