Perfect. Calm & relaxing, as tapas should be. Food was really good, & as the wine reasonably priced. Out of season, so easily got a table for 4 of us. The Spanish Lady was warm & friendly, & are 2 kids (15 & 9) loved it.

Great food. Great service. The recommendation of 2 to 3 dishes per person was spot on. We ordered bread as well and took a bit of food home with us. Swordfish with veg and pesto was perfect. Paella was amazing. Chorizo in cider! A great place for our wedding anniversary. Thanks

Not been to this restaurant but felt it would be a hidden gem. Came to Filey last summer, planning to go but didn't get round to it as my daughter is a fussy eater and we didn't want to leave her out. Was just about to book for tomorrow evening, only to find that the owner, Ian, has sadly passed away. The reviews are fantastic and I particularly like the no nonsense reply to one review which was posted a year after a visit to the restaurant. Gutted I'm not going to experience Amparian. Condolences to Amparo and family and gutted I won't get to sample her's and Ian's authentic Spanish food.

Myself and my wife went to the Amparium for the first time a few months ago and I've got to say it was up there with one of the best meals I've ever had (and I've had a few!)
We are going to Filey again next week and obviously wanted to go back. I was so disappointed to hear that it was closed temporarily due to illness. I sincerely hope that you make a speedy recovery for not just my own selfish reasons but also for yourself and your family.

A fantastic tapas restaurant. If you're in Filey you've got to give this place a go. Lovely friendly hosts serving authentic Spanish tapas with a great selection of Spanish wines. The best tapas I've had including visits to Spain.

My husband and I had a beautiful meal the food was delicious . The only problem we had was service we felt it was a little rushed , while we wear eating the lady that was serving us turned away customers that hadn't booked they looked very disappointed but then she decided to let another couple in that hadn't booked made us feel a little uncomfortable.

I can honestly say it was one of the best tapas meals I have had in this country. I have spent a lot of time in Spain and this was the most authentic meal I have had outside of the country. Friendly staff and excellent service. 5 stars.

Had the most wonderful meal here. A large group of us was served a selection of delicious dishes. Every one of them made to make your mouth water. Washed down with a lovely jug of sangria. Cannot recommend enough. All members of our group said they would be back as will we.

Amparian is a jewel in Filey's crown. The food is glorious, the staff are friendly and this is one of the few places I know that offers a good chilled fino sherry. We have eaten here 3 times, and our visits are always a highlight of weekends away in Filey.

This is the second time my sister, Dad and I have been. After the first time my Dad did not stop talking about it, so we arranged another trip. We were not disappointed, the food was amazing!! We visited twice during a weeks holiday to filey- firstly going off recommendations online and secondly after our first amazing visit.
The food is absolutely outstanding highly advise trying the prawns oh and the calamari, chorizo and the meatballs , well just about everything! Perfect timings in between bringing the dishes out, made to feel welcome with our 5 year old, wonderful host and lovely waitress who served us and hats off to the chef too. We also sampled some desserts too during our visits highly recommending almond tart and creme brulee and the lovely spanish liquor and sangria . All facebook messages and queries were also answered without delay. My only complaint is you aren't closer to home for us to visit more often! Thank you Amparian for 2 wonderful evenings.
