Just been for an amazing afternoon tea at this lovely little cafe/bistro..the food was lovely, still cant believe how much we got for a very reasonable price. Not sure anywhere else would be able to beat this. The staff were friendly and i would definately come back here to try other dishes off the menu. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
Had a lovely afternoon tea yesterday celebrating mine and my daughters joint birthday. They were very accommodating and tweaked the time to allow all my guests to relax without having to rush off for the school run. The food was delicious and so much more than we expected and is definitely excellent value for money. The lady serving our table was so lovely and friendly and served us really well. I would highly recommend it.
Good food and good coffee. The service was fast and friendly, and I was welcomed as soon as I walked in.
I had the veggie chilli which tasted great and homemade, good chips and tasty garlic bread. Very reasonably priced too.
I can't say anything about the atmosphere because I was the only one inside, I hadn't realised they had a garden outside, that's where everybody else was. I found it after my meal and it looks great.
I will definitely go there again and next time I'll be in the garden!

Nestled in a little side Street of Filey is a not to be missed quintessential little cafe. Warm friendly welcome by the lovely owner awaits you. Clean, fresh cafe with a very friendly mixture of locals. Food and service are first class and sensibly priced. Outside seating area plus guest toilets on site and only 5mins from the main beach. Brilliant
I had a small vegan breakfast and it was good; plenty of variety on the plate, all cooked properly, tasted nice. Most small cafes don't get near to this standard of vegan breakfast so well done. Service was friendly and fast. After 11.45am breakfast menu stops and the vegan options seem very limited, but they do make a nice vegan strawberry milkshake.
First, upon entry, the service was super friendly and helpful. The menu was nice and varied, with some rather glorious looking breakfasts to be had. Suffice to say I chose a regular breakfast. Food arrived quickly and was nice and hot. The breakfast was great! Bacon is not too greasy and well cooked, decent quality sausages, and the hash browns were off the charts! The portion sizing seemed perfect too. All washed down with a pot of tea. Will definitely be returning to this small local gem.
Now under new owners/name - the egg and spoon. Food was a bit of a wait but worth it. There are also not as many vegan options as there used to be, which is a bit of a disappointment, but the soup was good.
Vegan/veggie options were also not labelled on the menu, making them a bit hard to spot!
5 stars! Had a really nice breakfast here, the staff are really friendly and more than happy to help. Food was lovely and served in good time despite it being quite busy. The place has a nice atmosphere, it’s very clean and spacious, it doesn’t feel like you are sat on top of other diners. We had two breakfasts with two teas for under £15 so great value too. The menu has good vegan and veggie options so we will be back…
Enjoyed our visit here. Service was good. The only disappointment was the meal we wanted was sold out, which for a lunchtime menu was a bit of a shame. We'll give them another look next time we visit Filey
We just had afternoon tea at the Filey cafe. Beautifully presented and tasted gorgeous. Unfortunately we could only manage the sandwich and cakes so we have our scones as takeaway for later.
Highly recommended and really good value.
Had a week at Haven and decided to try here for breakfast before going home. Good sized portions and nicely cooked. Very helpful in swapping items on the breakfast such as egg for an extra item at no cost. Highly recommended
