We visited the Royal Oak two days in a row for evening meal because the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced too! We definitely didn’t leave still hungry. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

This was a hub of activity, it was full of people dining & enjoying the atmosphere.
I cannot comment on the food or dining experience as we only had a drink, myself, my partner & our pooch, Mabel.
What I can say is that we were welcome despite us taking up a table whilst only having drinks.

Really pleasant place, no booking just turn up and sit. Nice menu, the Lamb was delicious! They even went above and beyond to help me get online and they are Dog friendly too. Lovely bit of steam engineering too :)
Family of 5 of us just called on the off chance. We had no problem getting a table. There was a good selection on the menu and we were served quickly by the friendly staff.
The food arrived within 10 minutes and was piping hot.

We stayed at primrose valley for a week and happened to find this on our last night, we were absolutely gutted we didn't find it earlier!!

Great home cooked food, all sourced locally and freshly cooked.Good portion sizes, ate here 3 times and couldn’t fault the food at all. The twin cheesecake was delicious. Good beer as well definitely return soon
