Fab pub and food. The crab and lobster starter was delicious. Great steak pie, Hunters Chicken was really tasty. Good beers and gins selection. Has a beer garden at the back. Can sit under shelter at front with dogs.
Brilliant pub with great food.Very clean,service excellent and the food was spot on.The salt and pepper grinders were filled up so was the vinegar might sound like a stupid thing to comment on,but the little things matter,this is a very well run establishment,definitely going again.
Food absolutely amazing! Met up with family and had a lovely few hours. Family members were impressed with choice of real ales. Can't wait to come back.
Love The Star, our local away from our local...Just popped in for drinks.. always a good selection of pumps ..staff are great.. didn't have any food this time around.. still no dogs allowed inside 😞 but decent seating outside 😎👍
We had a really good experience here. Plenty of staff, a range of drinks and the food was excellent. The real gem is the beer garden and the outside bar. Don't miss out!
The food at The star is beautiful. We ate there two nights out of a 4 night trip. We would definitely return and recommend.

Came here for food with my partner and little lad. The food was absolutely amazing. I got a steak and ale pie, my partner got chicken and mushroom pie and we both said that they were the best pies we have ever had. I liked that they didn't come out with the food, 2 minutes after ordering. Just beaut
Great food and good real ale selection. Nice friendly atmosphere and family friendly. Pool table and sport. Often has live music and other entertainment. Always a good firework display for Bonfire night and new year. The pub has a small separate restaurant area so great for family meals - high chair
