A cracking pub that’s got a lot of character. It’s not very old but they’ve made it feel like it is, very cosy inside with it’s varying areas and authentic features.
Child and dog friendly too, which is nice.
Seemed a little pricey but I guess that’s just the cost of drinking out nowadays unfortunately.

Had a bad meal here before but visiting again i am sure this was a one off and a consequence of being busy with the rugby. In Fairness, the management sorted this issue and apologised. My second time visiting here was great, the roast was cooked to perfection and staff were very attentive. Having a restaurant that puts things right is invaluable and I hope to come again!

Perfect afternoon outside in the sun! Amazing food and great service, lucky to have this as our local!

Myself and my partner recently had what we both described as the best pub roast we’d had in a very long time! The food is always incredible, staff are all lovely and very welcoming, there’s always a great atmosphere.

£9.95 for double cheesburger and chips (~£5 off all burgers) on Wednesdays - a nice surprise. Lovely sunny day, sat in rear garden. Peaceful. Pint of draught Fursty Ferret, too!

Popped in for a drink after work with a friend, was a quiz night, atmosphere was very nice and inviting.

The pub atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make us laugh. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Would recommend!

A really nice pub, location and perfectly friendly and pleasant staff. Love the local brew ‘The De Hav’ and selection of bar snacks. But this whole ‘no cash’ situation is atrocious, this can NEVER be maintained, the worst is Covid is over, get back to normal business please 💷 💷 💷

Very nice atmosphere, with a massive outside area.
Had a good lunch on our way for a weekend.

Nice pub in the heart of Elvertham Heath. Lovely interesting decor inside with lots of knooks and crannies and a great range of ales, beers, ciders and everything else you want in a pub.
Staff were very friendly and attentive...

Books table on a Friday evening asked for a quiet one on booking. Was met by friendly restaurant manager and shown to a quiet area. Being a bit of a pie connoisseur I ordered the pie which was excellent. My wife had vegetarian pasta which was also good. Can't fault the service from a young girl who was duly tipped at the end. Will be definitely coming back.

Mens toilets smelled disgusting. I appreciate you use a waterless system but many places use this but I could not stay in there and chose to go home and use mine rather than stay for another drink after dinner.
My girlfriend told me that in the ladies toilet there was no toilet roll. Shame, service and food were excellent.

Visited today at lunchtime following my usual Sunday lunch pub was fully booked and I was quite honestly overwhelmed with how this pubs food and service has improved since my last review I left 4 years ago!
I booked the table over the telephone with George who was friendly and helpful and was knowledgeable about a couple of food queries that I had.
Upon arrival the beers were served upon quickly and with a welcoming smile. Just fyi, almost £6 a pint.
Was seated by Gorge the guy I had booked with and was surprised he had remembered the food I had discussed with him earlier.
I had the aged beef roast which came with unlimited Yorkshire puddings at £14.95
The food that was served was lovely and plentiful and for me quite honestly one of the best roasts I have had!
My girlfriend who had had the steak and ale pie, also at £14.95 said that hers was lovely too.
Brilliant news that this place has improved its food offering over the years as its quite local to me and I will certainly be eating here more in the future!

Really great place. Stayed at the Four Seasons but the food was significantly better here! Good vegan options, staff very friendly. My son has autism and they were very accommodating. The chocolate and orange torte was particularly impressive.

Staff are really friendly and efficient.
We will definitely be returning 👍

Today I went to your pub for tea and cake with my Mum after being told that you offered gluten free options. When I arrived, the 'gluten free' cake was in on a cake stand with gluten-containing cakes, not only this, but there was one cake slicer for both gluten and gluten free cakes. This cross contamination means that the cakes are not gluten free and had I eaten them I would have been extremely ill. After speaking to other Coeliacs in Fleet it seems that there has also been cross contamination in the kitchen and other people have been made ill as a result. When you advertise something as gluten free it needs to have no cross contamination. It's completely unacceptable to advertise gluten free products when they aren't. I will not be eating here again.

Well, what can I say? I was lucky enough to win a voucher in a competition for a meal for two. My husband and I ventured over today and found this quaint pub. It is beautifully decorated and feels so welcoming. We were seated to our table and were asked if we would like some bottled water while we perused the menu. We then ordered our meals and drinks. When the food arrived, it was piping hot and plentiful. Honestly, after eating my dinner, I went into a food coma..it was fabulous. The prices are reasonable, but the food is stunning. I highly recommend this pub and will most defiantly be back. Thank you for having us on one of the hottest days of the summer and the day England beat Sweden in the World Cup to go onto the semi finals...what a day

Food has always been a bit hit and miss here....after visiting on Sunday 19th Nov for a dry run before the official opening after the refurb, I have to say there's a great improvement on the food. Just needs to be maintained. The roast beef was to die for, perfectly cooked, nice and pink and tender. Hubby had a perfectly cooked steak too. All round we were very happy with the food. The pub as a whole is a lot lot better than it used to be, re. paintwork on the outside, atmosphere inside, nice and bright and roomier than before. Well done to the team here, good job!! We'll be visiting more often :D

We went today for brunch along with our puppy Dexter who was very playful. Highly recommend everyone was lovely and very friendly. We were truly made to feel welcomed and that our custom was appreciated. The food was great. Will be back soon. Thank you

Extremely poor service and well over priced food for the quality. When we arrived we had to explain why we wanted a certain Free table (because I was disabled and it was easier for us) then drink ordered fine. Waited 15 mins to order food. Garlic flat bread was tasteless, the bread that went with prawn cocktail was stale.
Cold pepper corn saurce, cold hard Rib eye stake and chips worse that mc Donald’s!!! And to top it off a dirty plate! Charged £22.50!! This was eventually taken off the bill once we waited and waited for some one to come over to us, and only after refusing a dessert at the time. I did say I would see what they had but didn’t get offered to look at the board, They did offer some thing else but 1 it was the only thing on the menu I would eat and 2 my hubby was already half way though his meal. I ended up leaving my meal and got some thing on the way home. Once the mains were cleaned no desserts offered, nothings. We had to go to the bar to pay as we waited and waited.
Such a shame as it’s a stunning restaurant but very poor service and food for the money.

2 years ago I wouldn’t have stepped foot back in here due to unfriendly, uncaring staff, lack of atmosphere etc.
Now after coming back a few times before the refurb I grew more enthused & after the refurb just even better.
The staff are all fantastic, friendly, welcoming, helpful, plus very catering.
Drinks are all we have had currently, my other half has eaten here but I haven’t but can’t wait to try the food. Ebony makes a great mojito! The best I’ve had in England (can’t find anyone in England to make a good one normally but away on holiday they seem to be the best so thank you young lady )
Charlotte makes a cracking old fashioned!
James the manager is very friendly & I can see his staff are which makes the experience even better.
Thank you for our chilled out times with our drinks. Also very nice to have met 2 lovely couples here with 2 different dogs. Nice to meet some new locals here as I’m moving here permanently to the area soon

Spent the afternoon there yesterday. Food was amazing and staff couldn't of done any more to help. Would highly recommend to all my friends and will be returning soon xx

Don’t waste your time. Service was terribly slow and food was mediocre. Nice enough decor and atmosphere so probably fine for a pint but nothing more.
Lynn Arthey
Nice pub but advertises gluten free cake and then puts the cake in with normal cake causing cross contamination meaning people with coeliac disease cannot eat the gluten free cake . Such a shame as we had been looking forward to our tea and cake morning.Ended up with just a cuppa.
Bev Parsons
Went for lunch midweek the building was very clean and warm especially in this cold snap which was good, lovely tasting hot food, didn't wait long, staff very polite and helpful
