The dry pot here was so delicious! We got an assortment of meats (fatty beef/fish filet), vegetables (broccoli, bean sprouts, potatoes, etc), and mushrooms (Woodear and king oyster). We got mild spice and it was good but spicier than I anticipated. The food was fresh and hearty but the wait was a bit long. Other than that, no other complaints. If you’re on the lookout for some good dry pot in flushing, this is it!

First time dining at this style of hot pot/stir fry establishment and was pleasantly surprised by the concept and most importantly the flavours. This stall had the most foot traffic in the food court and for good reason. Locals know this is the spot for a nice hearty meal full of spices and delicious meats. Although my interaction with the cashier went terribly (she attempted to process my CC payment about 10 times before her coworker told her to tap) the person who selected our meats was extremely patient and helpful. We didn’t realize this was a place where you select your quantity and types of meats/veggies for them to cook, and you’re priced out based on weight. The server was kind enough to portion us the price we were willing to pay. We asked for mild spice and were sweating buckets till our last bites but it was still worth it. An amazing and very authentic Chinese dining experience to say the least.

Service, surroundings and taste – it doesn't get more authentic, has all the charm. Reminds me of the great food court at 东直门交通枢纽。

The food is amazing! Best dry pot in New York City. The sliced beef and mushrooms are particularly delicious.

I’ve tried quite a number of stores selling spicy dry hot pot and Lao Ma is by far the best! Only wish they have luncheon meat on the DoorDash app for delivery

I've come to this restaurant four times and always enjoy the food! I recommend choosing a mild spicy level for someone not well-tolerant to spicy as I am. I had a bad experience with one of the servers, but it was not a big issue. I love the rapid service time and affordable price. I'll return with my friends someday.

Great place to eat if you’re after a spicy dry hot pot!!!! Highly recommend this place. They charge by the pound, so be smart about what you order. The way this works is you get to pick and choose your own meats etc, in which at the end of it, they weigh it to work out how much to charge you. Highly recommend to choose predominantly the sliced beef. Seafood isn’t so fresh, so wouldn’t recommend that to much. It’s definitely worth a try. Just don’t be pressured by the workers to buy more. And make sure you do tell them to put less of whatever you choose (if you want). Recommendation is to order mild as it does get quite spicy while you’re constantly eating it...mind you, it’s absolutely delicious.
