My mum comes here often with a friend and brought me in for lunch today. As I manage a cafe myself, I'm always looking around at the details (sometimes to steal ideas) and this place is spot on. Calm decor, not cluttered, a decent number of tables but with good space between them, neat condiment stands on the tables (yes I am that sad to notice this!). The staff are friendly and attentive but without being overkill. My mocha was lovely, tasty coffee and perfectly chocolatey. My ham+cheese toastie was great- well filled and a well presented plate with yummy coleslaw. My mum's scone came with plenty of butter, jam and cream and since I had to finish it for her I know it was delicious!
All in all, a really lovely cafe!
A real, authentic local coffee shop, with delicious cakes and eats. They are not likely to be an off-shore company like many of the big-chains around them. Friendly courteous staff and wonderful service. Use them or lose them.

Lovely little place in Formby with simple small menu.
ordered the quiche and it was home made with fresh tomatoes onnthat I really enjoyed, this along with the home made coleslaw and salad with dressing was a lovely little lunch. The latte tasted lovely as well .
The home made scones and clotted cream and jam are delish.
A lovely cafe, with friendly staff and delicious food to eat in or take away.
Omelette with curly fries is my favourite, whilst my partner has the all-day breakfast. We have been here several times for dine in or take away bacon or sausage baps, and have not been disappointed yet!
Great food nice staff i go to the kitchen once a week with two clients i support in the community they love the place as they care about all their customers attention to detail as they always remember who eats what .

Best sausage end egg on toast I've ever had. Definitely my new go to.
This about the only cafe in the area that will serve you a full English breakfast right upto closing at 3.30pm.
All the other cafes stop serving breakfasts at 12pm why why why? They will serve you bacon and egg on toast or bacon tomato or sausages or beans on toast etc so hang on bacon sausages eggs toast beans tomato etc What else is on a breakfast mushrooms? So why not a full English?
Anyway The Kitchen does serve all day breakfast so its the only cafe I go to now.

A great place for breakfasts and lunches. Hot and cold meals. Not very good for wheelchairs but can accommodate a couple in downstairs eating area. My husband and I have been coming here for a few years. Staff are very friendly, nothing too much for them. Food cooked fresh. Hot or cold food is delicious and well presented. We visit most weeks, after shopping, and we love it there.
