The Waite and Rose coffee shop Really a 4.5/5 Good produce in the main store - we picked up gluten free pasta whilst there as it's the only one I find tolerable and it's pretty close to standard pasta. Cafe itself: excellent coffee, extensive range of Danish pastries, muffins and the like and a range of non-dairy milk options. Take away is only available if you provide a reusable cup as they don't offer disposable coffee cups for environmental reasons - China cups are available as well. The lemon Danish I had was lovely, my coffee was excellent, he commented on how good his black coffee was, which is a rarity, and I wasn't charged any extra for having an alternative milk. Good disabled access and some outside seating where you can have a dog water bowl too. Coffee still just as good today (Oct'23) & the cherry Danish was really good. Toilets weren't great - the accessible loo in particular - but reported it and they went to inspect it straight away. Can't really ask for more than that. Still a 4.5/5

I find the Customer Service excellent in the Formby Store. In particular Chris who is always polite, helpful and goes that extra mile.

Shopping at Waitrose Formby a couple of weeks ago, was one of the best experiences I have had for over a year in any shop. Lovely friendly attentive knowledgeable staff who guided me around this store which was not familiar to me, not living in the area. Craig on Fresh Meat & Fish deserves special thanks for his recommendations. Thoroughly enjoyed our surf and turf meal that evening, all provided by Waitrose. Highly recommended store. Thank you.

3.45p.m. Sunday. Quiet. Only one in front at tills. Not all tills in use however. Newspapers to your right. No Guardian newspaper again. Not too many empty spaces on the shelves. Lots of offers across various ranges. Booth arrangement in Cafe. Perhaps not what it was once. Sadly old enough to remember when the store opened. Overall some excellent produce but whenever I visit the Mediterranean vegetables are all sold out. The cheaper version is horrid but the more expensive bag at £4 is much nicer with what looks like Roscoff onion inside. A substitute frozen veg choice is the Asian bag of veg.

Good range at this shop of quality items. But that comes with quality prices - you get what you pay for! Cafe not bad, but not for full English, nearest is a bacon roll earlier mornings. Do need more clearing away staff, or a dirty tray stack system, especially at busy times, when many tables have previous occupant’s remains.

Mythology suggests this is full of posh people with loads of money. It's not. Wine selection is a bit.... Yer know....

Called in on Wednesday 6th July 22 to collect two orders, picked up one but the other was due in later. A very efficent young lady Scarlet said she'd keep an eye open for it to save me having to return after a quick trip into Formby village it still hadn't been unpacked so had a lovely cup of tea cafe and decided that I had to go. Passed Scarlet on the way out who remembered me and said it's just arrived so picked up both parcels thank you Scarlet for your kind attention and excellent customer service
