We visited this place twice in one day. Initially to the bar where the crowd were chatty, warm and friendly.
On their recommendation we decided to return in the evening and have a meal. One of us had sirloin steak and the other a loaded burger.
The restaurant was busy! Both meals were excellent an
A vey friendly pub on the pedestrian street in the city center of Ft William. Busy and noisy on a rainy afternoon but hey, itβs a PUB. The food and the service were top shelf. The Turkey Roast was tasty and filling. The scampi were breaded perfectly and accompanied by peas, a salad and chips. T
This is a hidden gem with a vibrant atmosphere and amazing food, the venison burger, haggis and ribeye steak were fantastic and a perfect price, it was a brilliant experience and I would definitely come here again.
Loved it Loved it Loved it ....food was amazing ...best haggis tatties and neeps ive had in scotland and a healthy hearty portion for only 10.99 ...best money ive spent and staff are super friendly and helpful ...if your in fort william you must go !!!π―π
Tried fish and chips there, which, I have to say was pretty good. As you can see from the photo, portions are big.
There was a queue inside, but since I was alone, they found a table for me. So I recommend to book a table in advance.
Ate quite a few dinners around Fort William but The Crofter was the best (& cheapest). Lovely home cooked style food & very friendly staff. Chicken balmoral, roast pork with all the trimmings, beef rendang & the black pudding & beef pie were all so good. Highly recommended for a good, hearty meal.
The chips are fantastic!! They were both crunchy and have a soft nearly creamy texture inside. Fish and chips was standard, and the lamb roast special was alright. Overall if you want a casual pub meal and have a pint along the way this is your spot.
The best food I have had in scotland by far!
Service was welcoming, warm and attentive.
The steak ale and pie was amazing, hearty and proportioned perfectly.
View at the back was picturesque, with a variety of different people.
Next time I come back will visit again.
100% recommend those who come to
If you're a hiker in need of a satisfying meal without breaking the bank, look no further than this restaurant! It's a fantastic spot for weary travelers returning from a hike. The prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty. Highly recommended for a post-adventure refuel!
I ordered a sirloin steak and the fish and chips! I preferred the fish and chips! The breading was not too thick and the food was warm. The steak I felt was average. If given a choice I would have tried other Scottish dishes
Pretty decent pub food. Prices are very reasonable. Service is efficient.
Visited The Crofter twice on our stay in Fort William and wisely chose to eat here on both occasions.
First day it was full and we had to leave it 30 minutes before going back for a table which I took as a good sign.
It has that warm welcome pub style about it. The landlady/ manager was friendly
Had spaghetti carbonara, it was homemade, had bacon, mushrooms, cream, garlic, garlic bread with it! Delicious π I'm definitely going back!!!
Great pub food and a good selection of beers. The staff were friendly and helpfull. No real ale sadly.
Great pub with a very welcoming atmosphere and fantastic staff.
I've got to say that the food isn't anything to write home about but it's absolutely solid pub fayre - certainly no complaints (& kids loved it). Excellent, friendly service (dogs welcome & they got him a bowl of water on arrival) and
We only had drinks here. They have a great variety of drinks, and also a lot of ciders (including Kopparberg and Old Mout). Friendly staff.
Not going to lie, this place doesn't look like much. Just a typical pub. However, it has a very reasonably priced and delicious menu. We went twice because we were so impressed. It has some of the best puddings we've had in a while and they were huge. I ordered a steak cooked rare and they didn't di
