Beautiful beach, lovely little shop with a great range of food, drinks, ice cream and little gifts. I love Readymoney and can’t wait for our next trip down to Cornwall so I can come back here ❤️

Walked over to the castle, ended up stopping at Readymoney beach. Sun came out so we got an ice-cream, SOOO good. Lady serving was friendly, so going there again (we had the shipwreck, and the Rocky road icecreams)

Probably the best ice cream we've had in a cone, lovely coffee that I felt no urge to sweeten with sugar (usually take sugar). Lady who served us very friendly and welcoming. Particularly liked the reusable coffee mugs, lots of places pretend to care about the environment but having actual reusable 'takeaway' mugs is a refreshing change, not seen befofe and something I hope gets used more often

Great little shop and coffee stop. Excellent service and they do your drinks in mugs instead of single use disposable cups, which is great! Dog ice cream available too to keep the pups happy.

Nice little shop with outstanding views on its doorstep. Fair selection of hot drinks, ice cream, small snacks and souvenirs. Extra bonus for serving drinks in reusable cups.

A gem.....can order food day before online . ....pick up and eat undercover if need be. A beach cafe with all amenities. Got recycled buckets and spades for all the grandchildren and some for me to use as plant pots! We visit as often as we can.

A fantastic shop that has a great selection of local goods, ice cream, pasties, coffees and more. The service is absolutely fantastic. You can also rent body boards and they provide toilets free of charge but donations are welcomed. The beach and castle nearby is a must visit if you are staying in Fowey as its simply beautiful.

Super cute! We got a tea and a hot chocolate (in mugs!) and sat on the wall by the cove.

We discovered this little cafe on our second visit to Fowey. It has the best ice cream in the area -we returned on a daily basis. Very usefully located on the beach so perfect for holiday makers. Will definitely be going back

Readymoney Cove is a beautiful little cove at the mouth of the Fowey estuary looked over by St Catherine's castle. The cove is well sheltered from the elements and appears to have it's own quiet little microclimate making it the perfect spot for a swim! Boats are not allowed in the cove, and in summer a floating platform is attached to the buoy in the cove making it the perfect place for a summer splash with young children. What makes this cove so brilliant though is Readymoney Beach Shop. The shop serves a wide variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolates, amazing cakes, hot and cold snacks such as the good old Cornish pasty, and incredible ice creams. Alongside the food and drink, Readymoney Beach shop also stocks cards, souvenirs, trinkets and all kinds of beautiful little knick knacks! What also helps this shop succeed all expectations is the owner Victoria. Victoria aims to keep her shop as inclusive and sustainable as possible. She stocks supplies from small local Cornish businesses, and where possible, stocks sustainable and ecofriendly options such as plastic free crabbing lines. The most notable adjustment is of course the iconic Readymoney Beach Shop mugs. Drinks from the shop are served in recycled plastic mugs in order to cut the use of sungle-use takeaway cups. You can grab your drink, wander around the beach, enjoy a brew with a view, then just drop the mug back as you leave! The other element that makes this shop a cut above the rest is the community palpable community spirit amongst Victoria, the staff and the local people of Fowey. During the first lockdown period this year, Victoria set up a community project creating bunting flags to different themes which were collated and displayed following the reopening, though they are spending the winter in a slightly more sheltered location! After the announcement that the Government would no longer provide free school meals over half term, once again the Readymoney Beach Shop team stepped up and provided free meals to those in need. Even if you can't make it down to Readymoney in person, you can follow updates on their active social media and buy their amazing stock online as well! Victoria has gone above and beyond for me personally, for the local community, and for the wider community. To see an example of a small business done right, look no further than Readymoney Beach Shop! Toilets: Yes Parking: 1 car park (170 cars) close to Readymoney Beach. There is also a larger car park (450 cars) close to Fowey town centre on Hanson Drive. Access: There is a sloping path from the Readymoney Beach car park to Readymoney Beach taking about 10 minutes to walk. The beach can also be accessed by paved roads, but there is no parking on the beach front. Suitable for some disabled access but may be unsuitable if you have difficulties with steeper hills.

On a long walk round Fowey and Polruan we stopped for coffee (good coffee with caramel and red berry notes:) ) in the morning, then an ice cream on the way back. Staff here very friendly and super helpful. Will definitely go back. Thank you for great coffee and "salted almond and hazelnut praline with cocoa swirl" ice cream...lovely.

This must be one of the most pleasant beach shops in the country. The beach itself is a gentle joy. Tjis shop offers delicious cakes, warm beverages, pasties and an attractive, eclectic array of novelties, walking books and craft items etc. The people who work here make it what it is.

I cannot fault this lovely little shop! The staff work so hard trying to keep everyone happy and safe and serving everyone as quickly as possible within the covid rules. It’s a very small space so, rightly so, only one customer in at a time. Sometimes it’s really hard waiting to go in when you can see all the lovely things inside but just accept it and enjoy the view and don’t take offence if you’re asked to step back - they are doing their best. The cakes, ice creams and hot drinks are worth the wait and don’t forget to return the cup so we can do our bit for the environment too.
