Review The Potting Shed Cafe - Frilford

Second time eating at The Potting Shed and we brought the father in law for lunch - food was great, as usual but the service from Adrianna was perfect! She was warm, friendly and attentive - it was like having lunch with family. There is a big difference between ‘people who work in hospitality’ and ‘hospitality professionals’ and Adrianna is absolutely a hospitality professional! Thank you for looking after us so well Adrianna ❤️

We went here after parkrun today 22 July, there was 11 of us and they made space even though they were busy , the waitress Layla was brilliant so friendly and couldn't do enough for us . The food was delicious .

Excellent brunch at the Potting shed with my son. Be aware on a Sunday morning there may be a 10 minute wait for a table. But staff are very friendly and the food is great. There is also a deli and garden centre to browse afterwards. Parking is also plentiful.

Very normal cafe, nice outlook into garden but have to wait to be shown to our seats although lots of seats available, i thought over the top. Also asked for hot water and was charged £1 for it. 2 pots of tea, 1 piece of lemon cake(which was nice) and hot water and Service charge. Altogether £11. ?? Not bad I suppose except what happened to Customer Service(Charging for Hot water).

Had a lovely visit. Really great menu. We chose off the Coronation special menu and had the Coronation chicken toast and the Potting Shed lamb flatbread but there are so many other lovely things on the menu too chose from. We'll be back!

Lovely place to have some food and some coffee, the place looks busy when I got there and I managed to get a spot just before a reservation. Everyone was very friendly but for some reason it took ten minutes to get the drinks from the till until to my table. Probably they were too busy which is why I didn't give 5 stars. I was to the point to go and grab my drink myself. Otherwise it was very nice

Went for Sunday breakfast. Lovely setting and atmosphere. The waitresses were nice and friendly. The food was delicious. Unfortunately there was a blonde woman in a peach coloured top who seemed to be in some kind of management position who was really rude. It really soured the whole experience. She even rolled her eyes at one of our guests at one point. She needs to learn some customer service skills if she is going to perform a customer facing role!

Great cafe with a nice relaxing atmosphere 👍🏻 The blueberry pancakes were tasty, and the crumble French toast was even better! Slightly on the pricey side, but you get your money’s worth… We’ll be back again soon!

Enjoyable visit for Sunday brunch with a group of 9 of us. Manager went above and beyond to accommodate us. Hugely appreciated. Service was then excellent and food top notch. Very good. Thank you to the staff. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

I took my mum and carer for lunch at the Potting Shed today and we had such a lovely experience from the moment we entered! The staff made us so welcome and made my wheelchair bound mum feel at ease immediately, she does not like to dine out but having enjoyed her visit so much today, she’s keen to go back asap! The food was superb and good value and the staff were all warm, welcoming and attentive especially our lovely bubbly and helpful waitress Leyla. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Food delicious and service was great our friendly smily waitress was delightful. Apologies to her that I didn't get her name but big thanks for letting us stay at the table a bit longer. Will definitely return.

Probably the best Sunday brunch that I have had in a while. Ì had the mushroom toast which was packed with button mushrooms and oyster mushrooms which had a hint of pickle (not an overpowering taste so do not be put off by the pickle ) with a poached egg and goats cheese moose. This had topped any breakfast that I have had in a long time . The only thing that could of made dish better would be if there was one more poached egg (but Im a foodie so I can never have enough). My partner had eggs Royal which also did not dissppoint. The hollandaise sauce was perfect in flavour. A lovely farm breakfast spot and a 'must visit'.

Nice place Food generally good, but only available until 15.00. Then cakes in offer in afternoon, but I found them not inspiring. Nice to shop in garden centre, varied items to purchase.

Quite an unusual menu here, I had crispy duck waffles with maple syrup, hollandaise sauce, and a poached egg. Very tasty and very different. Our main waitress was bubbly and really helpful and fun to be around. The dessert choices were on the other side of the restaurant, and she went and took a photo so we could see what there was without getting up. Excellent service. We were chatting for a while after finishing and the staff let us be and we didn't feel hurried or rushed to leave.

Had a brilliant breakfast here in this fantastic dog friendly cafe. Only lost a star because it took a long time to get our food. Great front of house staff, just very busy on a Saturday morning!
