Called in for food and a rest on way to our destination it is very pleasant the staff very nice. After staying in Gainsborough for the night my colleague and I went back for Breakfast before we carried on with our adventure to Alkborough.

We haven't visited this place for a while and tried the 2 meals for £9.49. Normally the veg is really hard but this time it was lovely and tender. The best carvery we have had from there!

First time coming and was great! Has a well cooked carvery and delicious puddings. Paige looked after us every step of the way. She was very helpful and recommended the profiterole sundae and it was amazing. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I visited the Trent Port for an evening meal, despite being really busy, the service was speedy and the food was excellent. Tom and Kim were superstars and were a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely return to this pub. Great atmosphere and great colleagues! Hard to find service like this nowadays.

Really injoyed the food .
This is such a lovely friendly place
Stopped here a number of times over the years

Booked a table for 4 with 1 child. Were offered a choice of tables as a member of the party is disabled. Sheree and Di were both friendly, smiley staff who were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was decent as the carvery usually is. Desserts were ordered and paid for at the table and the service was quick. Would definitely recommend a visit when these lovely ladies are working!

I thought I'd come back and write another review. In my previous one a couple of weeks ago ~ I'd given 3 stars & quite a scathing (but in my view honest) review, and had vowed never to return. However, my husband had different ideas & he brought the family here this morning, & it was a completely different story ~ my vegetarian sausages were ready within minutes, the turn over of food was fast, given that they were busier than when I gave the 3* review, I was impressed. The food was hot, eggs were perfection which I know is difficult to achieve in a home setting let alone a commercial setting, coffee was hot, the staff were friendly and cheerful, & I was more than happy, thank you for turning the tables around and coming up trumps.

Went for lunch today. Food was amazing. Portions of meat was very generous. Vegetables/potatoes were lovely as well as nice thick gravy. Service was amazing and very friendly. Especially from the start and was meeted and greeted by Vikki who then showed us where we could be seated. Fantastic experience especially in this heat. Well done Trent port staff.

Went for a lovely meal with my partner last night at Trent port. Was served by the lovely Sheree & taz. Amazing food, lovely service by the staff. Made us feel very welcomed. Lovely atmosphere, Will defo be returning again in the future :)

I think the breakfast is reasonably priced however think it would be nice if there is a variety of eggs and not just fried. I prefer my bacon a little more well done. It's a shame you to have to pay extra for a few mushrooms. What we did have was very tasty.

Really nice breakfast, great value at £5.49 each Inc 2nds or 3rds if you want. ( price correct Dec 2022 ). Would have got a 5 star but beans had run out when we got to the hot-plate and the plum tomatoes were pretty sloppy. They could also do with another way of holding the serving utensils as they were very very hot from being under the warming lamps for ages. We will be back soon.

Food is superb and service provided is great. Amazing choices, especially for veggies! Be warned, the pizzas (and garlic bread pizza! This is delicious, I definitely recommend this. Lovely with cheese too) is huuuuge!!
