Review Mountain Coffee - Gairloch

Good coffee stop on-route to Loch Marlee / Victoria falls. Eccentric vibe with artisan chocolate and drinks on offer as well. Thank goodness for the coffee, the muffin and apple pie were no good.

We stopped there for coffee which was nice. The bookstore attached to it was cool and interesting and it has a lot of books about travel, Scotland and environment.

Very relaxing hipster vibes coffee shop and bookshop. Coffee was amazing and they had the best vegan cheesecake I have ever tried. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. Loads of new and old books to browse through as well.

Delicious coffee and tea drinks attached to a lovely bookstore. Excellent water view from the cafe. Order at the counter and take your goodies to a table and luxuriate for a few minutes. Very friendly service. Made us New Yorkers feel so welcome!

Both my wife and I said at the same time how nice their coffee was, and we are both very particular about our coffee. Really nice coffee and an amazing selection of food, their scones looked amazing, presented in a way I had not seen before, however I will grab another one when we pass back through. Attached to the cafe was a well stocked book shop which we could have spent hours in.

Great to find a lovely coffee shop, lots of delicious things to eat. We had gingerbread latte and cherry πŸ’ muffin, delicious πŸ˜‹ We sat in the veranda and admired the views.

Best coffee I've has yet on NC500! Not much of a straight black tea guy but I also enjoyed the tea there. Owner is a lovely chap too, easy and happy to talk with!

We had lovely jam scones the size of your head here, loaded with about half a jar of jam each! Amazing! My son had a piece of vegan lemon cake and a vegan hot chocolate due to allergies and he was delighted as we'd only went in for a bagel for breakfast but they didn't have any lol. They also have lots of Mountain Coffee for sale and specialist books about hill climbing / camping in Scotland, also about climbing worldwide such as Mount Everest and Machu Piccu which I found to be a fantastic touch and really fitted in with the decor of the place. They have indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy your coffee break and the only reason I marked down a star is because we weren't given any napkins and the jam overload was a bit of a waste - we all had loads left on our plates. Regardless, I was grateful to find a cafe that my son could enjoy a treat in, even if it did mean cake for breakfast but we were on holiday so holiday rules apply!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the coffee is amazing!!! Bought some to take home with me! We had vegan chocolate orange cake due to allergies and that didn't disappoint either! A relaxing place to sit outside and inside!

Delicious! Wish this was a chain so I could enjoy their French Vanila Oat Cappuccinos everywhere I go. Loved that I could take my dog inside on a cooler day and the menu was the most inclusive I've ever seen. This coffee house really cares about our planet and shares that positive message selling cakes and chocolate in completely recyclable packaging.

Charming coffee shop. Excellent coffee, interesting books on display and involved in looking after local feral cats; a very worthy cause.

It's great! Good coffee, good food, a 'conservatory' that leaks, but that just adds to the character. Plenty of parking right outside. We kept going back.

Lovely, quirky place and great book shop. Carrot cake was absolutely delicious and we had a 2nd coffee, because we were so happy to find a cosy place with good coffee, where we felt comfortable and welcome.

A welcome coffee stop on this stretch of our NC500. It's slightly quirky but the coffee and muffin were delicious. Find time to stop off if you're passing.

Yummy coffee in the conservatory which reminded us of our trip to Nepal and trek to Annapurna Base Camp. You could have coffee and apple pie just like in Chomrong. Sadly we were too early for bagels but they sounded lovely. Excellent plant based options. Lovely bookshop next door too.

I don’t generally do reviews but stopped here on a motorbike trip if you like great coffee and home baking (plum pie was a-maz-ing) then take this short detour into Gairloch. Brilliant.

Very good wee place to stop off for a Coffee and Cake hit . This place reminds me off a backpackers lodge which is a good thing . It's got a homely atmosphere, really good place to stop of and just chill out enjoying a really good coffee and cake. I got the plum tart and cant complain atall. I was here with my wife , 2 kids and our dog. What a relief to see that they were DOG FRIENDLY πŸ•πŸΆπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ . Reilly good place to stop off for a well earned sugar hit if doing the #NC500 route. Will definitely visit again . 😁😁😁
