Came here today as a party of 4 and the staff kindly fit us in during their busiest period. 2 of us were vegan and every one was so accommodating we can honestly say it's the nicest meal we've had since turning vegan Jan 17. We also had a young kid with us and the staff could not have been lovelier joking with him and sorting his food just the way he liked it. We'll definitely be back soon.
Excellent food, surroundings and staff very friendly, spotlessly clean and prices are really cheap especially the lunch menu, would highly recommend this place, x

Had a lovely meal with family for our mams birthday. The food was amazing as was the service and they looked after kids giving them Chinese dragons and sweets after meal. Mam even got a bottle of fizz with a sparkler which was so unexpected and a lovely surprise. We all agreed we would be back soon x

Outstanding, we go with all the family on a monthly basis and can't fault a thing� food, staff, and price always been 5star, when yiv got fussy elderly relatives that always leave the Imperial very satisfied and happy u know your on to a winner���

Numerous meals at the imperial, staff, quality, comfort are ALL second to none! If you enjoy chinese food you will be struggling to surpass the above, well done to ALL involved at the Imperial.
Just had a lovely lunch and celebrated my Mams birthday too . As always food was delicious. The complementary bottle of fizz at the end of our meal was a lovely unexpected gesture. Thanks again see you all on N.Y.E. .x
Top class food and top class service, never anything but perfect
Went as was told had a fully GF menu. Did not disappoint, lovely food, lovely, fast and polite service and a nice atmosphere too. Would 100% recommend. Especially if coeliac.
The owner is a lovely gentleman who made the restaurant feel more homely. Service is fine otherwise, but they aren't very attentive to drinks.
The banquet menus are quite good value. We went for the Royal banquet with some additions:
- I don't understand why chicken and sweetcorn soup is a thing.
- the ribs were OK but the sauce lacked depth.
- the salt and chilli prawns were juicy and fresh.
- the cantonese style beef was tangy and sweet, which doesn't work taste wise. Five thumbs down.
- the crispy duck was dry
- everything else lacked flavour so wasn't notable.
All in all it's really good value for money, but very average.

An excellent restaurant up a steep flight of steps. The restais very well maintained and very pleasant to enjoy a lovely lunch. Service was very fast for everything being cooked fresh so I can only complement the efficiency of the kitchen as well.

Our first time at the imperial we chose the emperor banquet set meal for two I have posted a picture of what is included service was great speedy and attentive I wasn't keen on the soup but my wife enjoyed it all of the advertisers were very tasty but all three main dishes were far too sweet for our liking if we return we will ask for advice and choose something different unfortunately if you have a disability or elderly they are too steep flight of stairs up to the restaurant which may be a problem overall it was great experience and will return
Gorgeous! We had a royal banquet for 6 and the food was incredible. We had two little ones with us and they were so well looked after. Service was fantastic. We wanted for nothing. Can’t wait to go back
