Delicious food, fantastic views, perfect service and great atmosphere.
We enjoyed every part of our meal, the food tasted sublime and it was obvious to us that the ingredients were high quality.
We attended during their August special, so it’s difficult for us to speak on price but we would have paid double what we did pay.
Service was attentive, not invasive and very helpful.
Wine selection was good, and well priced too.
We will definitely be back, thank you!

Lovely service staff and excellent food, especially for the price if you come for the lunch special.
Absolutely in love with the focaccia they made in house as well.
There's clearly a lot of thought put into their food, and has a bit of a modernist flare, very fitting of a restaurant being on the top of a museum and exhibition space.
We came here for a little wedding lunch, and they gave the wedding couple some celebratory fudge on a plate which was really sweet. Will come again!

I was going to get their afternoon tea, but the starting price of per person is 27 pounds, so I ended up ordering some desserts here, and they are absolutely tasty! Also their service is really nice. The waitresses are very patient and friendly with you. Plus, you can have amazing view at this restaurant. Overall, it was good experience. I would say it is worth going.

Have always wanted to come here but needed a good enough excuse since it is fancy. So for our anniversary we went. It was amazing, the staff were really friendly and very chatty. The food was exquisite and the views really made the restaurant. Fantastic will visit again for another special occasion.

Came here for a friend's wedding reception. Had a posh and delicious ham and pickle, a to-die-for delicious perfectly cooked steak and chips, and one of them fruity frozen ice things plus lashings of wine and champagne.
Can't recommend more highly especially for a wedding reception! I doubt it's cheap though!

We had an early evening booking at the Six Baltic Restaurant on Saturday. Firstly the service we received from the staff was excellent. I scored the overall experience as 4 stars primarily because the name of the building is very apt because it was BALTIC inside the restaurant. The staff did explain that the heating system was controlled via the operators of the main building. To be fair to the staff, they did bring a small heater to help keep our two better halves a little warmer. The only other minor negative was it was a bit dark in the restaurant, and we had to use the torch to be able to read the menu. I appreciate that they want to keep a certain ambience in the restaurant, but some nice small subtle down lights on the table would work very nicely. Overall though a very nice evening with friends in a lovely location.

What can I say! This was truly amazing!! We had a table for 8 booked on Sunday 14th May for the champagne afternoon tea. The food was amazing and delicious, all homemade. The scones still warm and the selection of desserts were to die for. We had exceptional service from start to finish from all the staff and the views were the icing on the cake! Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Situated on the top floor of The Baltic Centre.
We went at 9pm so the river & city views were pretty. Shame that the Tyne Bridge wasn't illuminated.
The food here is very tasty & the sauces that we had were lush.
2 noteworthy dishes were the Ham Hock Terrine starter & Slow Cooked Beef Shoulder.
Service was friendly & efficient.
Prices were approx £45 a head & please be aware that a 10% service charge gets automatically added to your bill.

Exceptional restaurant. Food was superb, service was excellent. Surely a Michelin star is just around the corner. Spoke with Paddy Forbes to pay our compliments to the Head Chef for an amazing meal. Brilliant

We had a big celebration and chose The Viewing Box at SIX - it was amazing!
All of the staff were so good and Daisy that was assigned to look after the party of 25 plus 3 children, did an outstanding job. We could not have dreamt of anything more. The building and views must be surely the best in the North East and the food was delicious. Thank you to all of you at SIX - you made our celebration so special and we will see you soon! Wonderful. We chose from the a la carte menu. Everything was piping hot ( I can't stand lukewarm food), beautifully presented and delicious . Staff were attentive, our server had a good knowledge of wine to accompany our meals. Beautiful views over the Tyne . Well worth a visit

A high quality afternoon tea with beautiful views, attentive service and a relaxing atmosphere. This was my first time dining at SIX and it was a truly memorable experience. The staff were very friendly and the food was great quality.
If you enjoy afternoon tea, I'd definitely recommend visiting.

Beautiful view from the box, although the environment inside the box was quite duly. The food were very good, well presented and taste nice. They served a good range of cocktails 🍸also.
Customer service was very friendly and speedy.

I booked Six as a venue for a Newcastle University daytime event and dinner and I was impressed by the event team's attention to detail and great quality of service. We had to move the date of the event and Charley in the events team was very accommodating, and also helped us out when our numbers ended up being lower than expected, moving the spend to give us some additional extras to the event so that our money wasn't lost.
For a few of our guests, this was their first visit to Newcastle, and they were impressed by the venue's beautiful views, we're glad we ended up using the viewing box for our dinner as this was such a cosy space. The restaurant itself was a little cold during the day but when we mentioned this to staff the problem was resolved.
The highlight of the event was definitely the food and so many of our delegates came to me to say how much they had enjoyed it - delicious hearty fare for winter. Even two guests who arrived an hour late for the dinner were immediately served up food, thanks to Roy for his brilliant service!
We would definitely return to Six for business events in the future.

An absolutely fantastic place & the food is unbelievable. Their new chef from Newcastle is so talented & his creations & flavours are wonderful & so original & of course delicious. The staff & the General Manager Patrick (Paddy) really care about the experience you have, on the night or at lunchtime & made our visit unforgettable. I would recommend "Six" in the Baltic to everyone, who either wants to impress a new boss, a first date or a friends/family gathering , any occasion would be well worth a visit. It gets a 10/10 from us.

Right up in the crow's nest, almost literally! Eeee, those kittiwakes, lovely things. Smart restaurant right at the top of the Baltic Flour Mills Building. All the staff were warm, welcoming and lovely. Pricey place to dine and you pay a premium for the views, but worth it, especially on a grand, sunny-blue-sky day. Charming service. Fantastic views of Newcastle. I had pea and roast garlic soup, mushrooms, Truffle croutons. It wasn't a particularly generous serving for £9, eeek, did I really pay that?! But it was exceptionally tasty soup. Be aware, that 10% service charge is bunged on. It is 'discretionary', but if you're not up to speed with checking your figures, you will be paying far more than you bargained for. I considered £9 a more than generous hefty price for a bowl of soup. Upon querying it, there was no problem removing the additional charge and done with a smile too. A good place to dine for something special. Can recommend the soup!

I have been to Six on several occasions and always enjoyed the food. We went yesterday for Fathers Day and can honestly say we were very disappointed, have you changed your chef??? As you had the standard menu for Father's Day, so this tells me you cooked a bulk load and by the time we arrived the meat was chewy, I couldn't get my knife through the meat, my hand was sore after trying to cut through, the roasties bland, dry claggy, I didn't even manage one! So disappointed 😔 I've only gave you fair on the service

Great food, great service and great views! The restaurant was busy, however nothing was too much trouble for Stu who was serving us. Starters and main courses were delicious and the chocolate orange mousse with salted caramel was to die for! We ordered a second bottle of wine and were told to take our time over ordering dessert, that there was no hurry. From start to finish we had an amazing evening! Thanks!

Table requested with river view...didn't get (booked way in advance). Light out above table so couldn't see too well. Waiter very inattentive and dismissive....other staff were lovely so no reflection on the staff as a whole. Food was ok but disappointed as I have had far better at many other establishments in Newcastle. Was meant to be a special meal but left feeling very let down. Won't be back

All four of us were extremely disappointed on our arrival with the menu, so much so, that we phoned another restaurant and were lucky enough to be offered a cancellation opportunity which we snapped up immediately. On the plus side the bottle of red which which we enjoyed in the bar over looking the quayside was worth every penny.

This was our first visit to Six. We had the lunchtime 3-course meal and it was excellent. The presentation was first class and the food all tasted lovely.
The waiter who served us was attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant.
We will be returning for an evening meal.

Top service from the chaps at Six! Gorgeous food and great views, would definitely recommend as special treat.

Good views & ambience. Friendly prompt service. It's for a special occasion with an expensive menu but the quality is excellent. The Northumbrian Oysters & Steak with peppercorn sauce & the Merlot red wine were top class.

I couldn't fault the staff they were all lovely very accomodating. I thought the restaurant had no atmosphere a little uncomfortable. The food was nice but that's it just nice not worth the high price tag. Much nicer food in plenty other restaurants in newcastle. Best of my 3 courses was the desert. I would not return.

We had Sunday lunch yesterday and couldn't fault it, beef was very good as was the veg, gravy could have been a bit thicker. The passion fruit mess was delicious. We arrived early which was no problem and the staff were lovely.

Had afternoon tea looking out over the river Tyne. Food delicious and lemon meringue cheesecake is to die for. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely return. X

I’ve avoided reviewing this place for quite a while, largely because I didn’t want to be disappointed again. Since the Baltic first opened I’ve sampled a number of its sixth-floor dining incarnations: from overpriced gourmet pretension, to breezy but irritatingly unreliable bistro. On the last two visits I had nice starters, an amazing pud (knickerbocker glory with Pimms jelly), but very dull mains. I’m happy to say that Six has changed for the better. It has a charming and efficient general manager called Matthew Robertson, and has secured Adam Hegarty, former protégé of Terry Laybourne’s Café 21, who at last appears to have combined stability with imagination in the kitchen. Cod with saffron mash and great mussels We started with three-cheese soufflé (fluffy an
