Trakol - Gateshead - Photo album

Very interesting menu but disappointing eating experience . Disappointment down possibly to our food choices, but what we did have - I expected a little better. I would go back and definitely make different choices. Good atmosphere and great service.
Fabulous experience from the start. Friendly staff, fabulous location under the iconic Tyne Bridge, outside seating for a pre dinner drink by the river. Starters more a sharing plate - pigs tail unusual but tasty. Rib of beef main at £85 for 3 to share was great value and absolutely excellent. Marga
Fantastic restaurant, we were sat right next to the kitchen which was fascinating to watch, advised of my partner's dairy allergy on booking many months ago and they remembered this, mentioned it to us directly after seating us & generally catered exceptionally for my partner throughout the evening,
Absolutely amazing food cooked over hot coals. Started with a few snacks, then had the fish feast catch of the day, which was Turbot in a cider sauce with heritage potatoes and grilled asparagus. Pine ice cream was incredible
We had such a lovely evening at Trakol. The food was truly amazing and so was the beer. Service really attentive. Just a great place to visit. Highly recommend.

Overall positive experience so youcan't go wrong with this one but nothing was too exceptional. Staff
- Great beers. Amazing views. Cool vibe. Log cabin feel. - Well cooked meat. Good Sunday roast. Well priced too. - Starters and small plates are disappointing - The roast pigs head was an experience but wouldn't have it again. - The 1kg prime rib was better the first time. The smoked marrow is love
Been 2 years since here last, still on point, well cooked, inventive and nourishing food. The steak sharing platter is well worth it for a treat, super well seasoned, this might put some off, but I love plenty sodium so suited me. Worth noting staff were great- attentive but not intrusive, friendly
The food at Traköl was delicious - fresh, high quality ingredients, and melt in your mouth flavours. The beetroot, rhubarb and pumpkin seed veggie dish was the unsung hero, what an unexpected delight! We ordered the lamb and sirloin steak for mains which were cooked perfectly but were very rich and
