I was an occasional visitor a few years ago, loved the atmosphere & food was good but hadn’t ventured to this place for about year. I decided a few months ago to repay a visit to see if it was still as I remembered. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a complete decor renovation, even more surprised when I sampled the menu. I can honestly say that the food is out of this world, the Gourmet Sausage & Mash & the Gourmet Gammon Steak are my ultimate favourite. Took out a Chef & Brewer rewards card & I haven’t looked back. Been a weekly muncher ever since, with constant weekly rewards on meals to entice you. I’d highly recommend a visit to sample the evening menu as well as the lunch menu. 5 stars all the way for service, food & atmosphere!!

Fab place, lovely food, we had booked a table for lunch but decided it was too nice to sit inside so we sat in the sun, we liked it that much we stayed for 6hrs enjoying the atmosphere food and coffee of a lovely country pub

We called after a walk on a cold/wet autumn day after driving passed. Noticed it was dog friendly so called in on our way home for lunch. Great pub, friendly service and the food was lovely. Lots to choose from for my little girl (6 year old) for her dinner and also me and my wife had plenty to choose from. it arrived at the table very quickly and was lovely. We sat by the open fire warming up, which our dog massively appreciated :) We'll definitely be back again and highly recommend it to anyone.

Have not stayed here but have had lunch/dinner here multiple times and it is very good. Excellent selection of alcohol free beers which is important for me. Food is excellent. Service is terrific, very welcoming staff. Lovely ambiance as well, classy without losing country pub charm.

Fabulous place for holidaying with a dog. We had two small dogs with us and they loved the place. Joined us for breakfast everyday, welcomed by friendly staff. They got used to the routine and looked forward to their morning sausage. They were also welcomed in the bar in the evening where we played cards with friends late into the night.

We were spending one night locally, 18th October, and just wanted something casual and close by for dinner - this was recommended by Park Farm Hotel where we were staying. We were so impressed ! Such a nice welcome from the lady at the bar and brilliant service all round - the staff really worked well together as a team. The food was actually amazing ! We shared the No Leaf Salad with Butternut Squash to start, then my husband had the Keralan Chickpea Curry while I had Beetroot Ravioli. So nice ! But my favourite was dessert : Caramelised Vanilla Cheesecake which came with red berries, raspberry coulis and clotted cream ice cream. It was so good, nicest dessert I've had in ages. I had to find the chef to say thanks ! Husband had Bramley Apple Tart with coconut vanilla ice cream and loved it. Everything was beautifully presented - they like a pea shoot in here ! We really enjoyed our evening at the Ravensworth Arms : x

We had lunch here on a very busy Thursday, due to a large group function. However, the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, directing us to the inside area where dogs are allowed, supplying water bowl for our dog and a couple of treats. Food and drinks arrived within good time. At the edge of the carpark is a gateway to a nature reserve which we would have explored further, but didn't have the right footwear. However, we spotted Angel of the North through the trees, set the satnav and went to find it! That made my day!

Good food here, especially the Beef Rib for Sunday dinner. (Advise booking for Sunday’s) Super friendly staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere in dainty surroundings. Our server Julie was really helpful and looked after us well.

We’ve visited twice this month (two separate birthdays) and both times the food and service could not be faulted. The staff were attentive and nothing was a problem for them.

I cannot thank the staff at the Ravensworth for being so wonderful, welcoming and helpful during our stay this weekend. A large group of us stayed, and used the function room during the first night of our stay. The rooms were great, the breakfast was great and the pub is lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were consistently kind and truly lovely people. I only wish we got everyone's names, but specifically thanks to Janet, Cat, Bailey and Kyle. Thank you so much for everything xx

Have been here quite regular over the past 12 months, having been here many years ago, friendly staff and yet to have a bad meal. Recommend a worthy visit. Refurb has made a major difference.
