Big Moose's Bbq Smokehouse

Stopped here on the way back from Tennessee. This is not worth going to. I ordered their 100% Angus burger. It was over cooked, dry and had no flavor. My daughter ordered the rib platter. The meat came shreaded off the bone. That was okay. The problem was that the meat was sitting in some type of water. The taste was very unpleasant. I was upset with myself after we left for not talking to the owner or manager about the extremely poor quality of the food.

Pulled pork is a favorite of mine so I was excited to find big moose's bbq. This is my first time eating here but their pulled pork is horrible. It's soggy and reminds me of school lunch. The two stars are only because the sides were decent the hash brown casserole and Indian stew were pretty good. I might try something different another time. Just disappointed that a BBQ place has such generic pulled pork 😞

Nice people. Food was awful. Ribs were not ribs, must have been boiled because most of my plate was covered in water. BBQ sauce was also runny and flavorless. Green beans were bitter, hashbrown casserole was pure flavorless mush. Also expensive for very little food!!! We saw poor reviews, but ignored them because we were desperately hungry from a long drive. I left 75% of the food on my plate. Do. Not. Go. Here.

The first time I went I ordered chicken and it was dry. Sides were really good. I have had other places where the chicken was also dry and figured it is hard to keep chicken moist so I'd give them another try. I went there today for the second time. I ordered a sandwich. I asked if anything came with it and the cashier said two sides, which I ordered. She tried to charge me for a plate and I again told her I wanted just the sandwich. She replied I had ordered two sides with it. I told her the only reason I ordered the sides was because she said they came with it. She got nasty about the sides and having to redo my bill, so I walked out. I will not eat there again.

Horrible experience! Dried out shoulder,shredded bbq sandwich was mush and their ribs are not ribs at all so if you order their "country ribs" dont expect actual ribs! And the hamburgers were cold,hard,dry and the veggies on it (tomatoes) were old and mush. I didnt even want to put one star. And the new owners seem very rude and hateful to their employees. The girl that served us was asked for our sides to be put in seperate containers and the owners wife at the register jumped all over her and asked why she had given us so many containers. So if the owners read this if a customer asks for their sides to be placed seperately thats what we want.

Went here on a whim while in town and it was just ok. Not bad but not very good. The pulled pork was good, but there was more bread than meat. The "shoulders" had a dry rub on them which would have been ok, but they didn't have an ounce of juicyness in them. The Mashed potatoes were a bit too salty too. Although the cooks have its a free plate with a little bit of each of the sides so we could try them. Yet again, most were just "ok".
