Found this place by accident after visiting a nearby record store. It will be our ‘must go to’ place in Glasgow. The lunch menu was excellent value, the food delicious and the menu varied. Staff were cheery and helpful. My son, who was with us and lives in Glasgow, will be returning with his partner very soon.

Баснословный !. So many good reasons to like this place! The food is fantastic - lots of choice for vegetarians - the staff are friendly, they have low-alcohol beer (so many places don't) and the food is fantastic. Quite honestly, I can't wait to go back.

The best business lunch I've ever had. Excellent service, delicious food, great ambiance, good location, reasonably priced. I loved the vodka selection. My favourite dish was Blinis (similar to crepes), nicely done and rich taste. Definitely, a great Russian experience.

Nestled amongst the bars in Merchant city, this was a nice authentic find. I tried some of the traditional Russian and Siberian dishes. Really filling, really satisfying. I tried several dishes. My best was the potato pancakes. The multi-layered Kutuzov cake was not fresh but was still delicious and very appealing! Great place to visit, especially on a cold night since the food is warming and heavy.

We atteneded Cafe Cossachok 🇷🇺 last Saturday and experience was fabulous from start to finish. We emailed in the morning for a resrvation and was quickly emailed back and confirmed our table. On arrival staff were very polite and welcoming. The decor is pretty cool too and the restaurant area is large and spacious. We were taken to our table and staff immediately came to see us giving us drink/food menus etc and took drink orders. This place serves authentic Russian/Lituianian/ukranian dishes aswell as authentic beers/largers/spirits and not to mention homemade vodka in a wide variety of flavours. We ordered starters of Solyanka & Cossachok Nibbles both were served quickly and tasted unreal 👌 as a garlic 🧄 fan the Cossachok nibbles were top notch, the solyanka was also delicious. For our mains we ordered 3 as we couldnt decide 🤣 there are so many options on the menu we wanted to try, we ending up opting for lamb/chicken shashlik and fresh slamon with potato pancakes. All of the food was cooked/tasted beautifully. Service was fantastic with waiters/waitresses always checking up if we needed more drinks etc. We also ordered a rack of 6 of the homemade vodkas which are fantastic value at 6 for £10. Highly recommend 😉 The meals and drinks are very reasonably priced and the food is very tasty with large portion sizes. Cant fault the service either they were very efficifent, helpful, polite and couldnt do enough for you. We will definitely be returning as so much we have yet to try on the menu! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing place. Very authentic. As a Russian born I can vouch for that! Food is mouth watering, the ambience is super cosy, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The place is nicely decorated in red, with Russian dolls and scarves. There is a Russian music playing as well. I go there very often and never had a bad experience! A salted caramel flavoured vodka shot is a must try!

Our first time here and definitely not the last! Loved every bit of it! Food was great (good selection and great, bold flavours) , service was great (good recommendations, very friendly, nice chat), portions were very generous, value for money good and overall experience very very plesant! We went for 2 soups (borsch and soup of the day which was smoked meat with olives) and they were a small meal of their own. Very hearty, warming and great flavours. Then we went for fried potato pancake with pork and the traditional pelemeni (filled pasta dish). Both were very generously portioned and very very tasty! We filled the tiny belly space we had left with a shared honey cake, which was delicious, soft and plush mouthfeel with distinct honey and cream flavour. I can easily see this place becoming a favourite, looking forward to visiting again!

We had been almost near closing time test we were well served. Scallops were slightly raw but after we've mentioned to the waiter; they agreed to make us fresh ones more well done. Wine is at decent price for area. You can watch old Soviet movies on the projector. Very nice place.

Had an excellent lunch here, with a superb beer, new to us. The pancakes were delicious, the goulash & cabbage rolls very good, the beer first class. Not exactly in the same league was the calamari. I feel very confident that this was mass produced frozen stuff like Birds-eye or Findus (remember them), & came with a not at all home made bread crumb finish rather than proper batter, which any European restaurant would be frankly ashamed to serve. That said they were pleasant enough, & as a starter did not detract from the whole experience. I'd definitely go back several times now I've found the place

Borscht so tasty and very reasonably priced. Small glass of wine hit the spot as I wasn't in the mood for too much alcohol. My pancake had 3 massive scoops of vanilla ice cream and was delicious. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere. Not a huge choices for vegetarians but still suited me very well. Thank you.

Highly recommend! Amazing, authentic and unique place to visit and eat at in the historically rich part of Glasgow. The food was terrific and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. I think this is as close as Glasgow can get to meeting Russia!

Very tasty indeed! Our Russian colleague told us the Pelmeni were very small but very nice (he can eat a lot so don't worry about the portion size). I really enjoyed the food there, too. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant has a nice and welcoming atmosphere.

Lunch menu a variety of Russian cuisine, reasonably good value at £3.50 starters, £5 for mains. A la carte mains looks typically £12. Wide variety of Eastern European bottled beers. Nice decor, friendly foreign staff.
