Had breakfast here two mornings whilst staying in the hotel. Extensive buffet both hot and cold, with optional couple of extras avail for small extra charge. Traditional Scottish brekky items: haggis, black pudding, tattie scones etc plus the usual offerings. Wait staff very professional and quick to bring tea/coffee to our table. Wide variety of choices and all high quality. Ours was included in room rate but if paying off the street it was £16.50 which we thought was good for how much was on offer in a very nice city hotel. Champagne was avail if desired too.
I think I have pretty well covered The Grand Central Hotel in my previous review of the Champagne Central bar. Tempus can be entered via the hotel, it is along the corridor and down the stairs from Champagne Central. Tempus also has its own entrance from Hope Street, however this seemed to cause all sorts of confusion as I shall mention later...
It was my first visit to the hotel and restaurant. The welcome and team were great and very pleasant. I had a nice starter consisting of Haggis balls which were well presented and really flavourful. The main was this evening's special, shredded duck and a beautifully cooked small piece of pork, as the portion was not huge I had a side of dauphinoise potatoes, which was a perfect sized portion. A few orders for drinks we had to correct or ask for again, but the overall ambiance and feel of the restaurant was perfect and very grand. Thank you!
This lovely, friendly, querky place is well worth a visit. Great food, great decor and the best bit is it's dog friendly. No more sitting outside in the cold - you and your dog can book a table in the Orangery (up to 7pm). The staff made a proper fuss of Alan and gave him his own bowl of water.
Amazing staff, they were able to fit me in for a quick meal without me being a guest of the hotel and it being dinnertime. The food was well priced and very delicious, can definitely recommend.
Food was good but Honestly 7 supplement for a steak? For 2 of us we could have had another meal! Up scale restaurant but come on dont rip the backside out of it
Service was amazing when I went with my family. Staff were very kind and welcoming and made my experience very positive. The Duck was the best I’ve ever had so I will definitely be back again.
Steakout deal superb, lovely steak one of the best in Glasgow cooked perfectly, very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them. Great ambiance.

Was in yesterday for a festive lunch. Both food and service were great value for money. Drinks are a little pricey but not extortionate. Would recommend to others.
