Excellent food and lovely service. This place is great for a special occasion and some cosy fine dining. The baked Camembert is absolutely delicious. Great menu and cosy ambience.
We quickly darted in for a glass of wine in a rainy day and ended up staying for 2 hours, a snack and a few more then one glass. Beautiful setting and charming staff.
As you step in, the atmosphere sets you into a relaxing mood.
The ambiance and decoration, matched with cordial service, sets you for enjoyment.
They have a great list of French wines and the possibility of getting them all.
Ours was a French Malbec with a flavor that matched the description.
Two appetizers, Camembert melted that didn't make it to the review and a today with mushroom and poached eggs. A lever flavor to enjoy again.
For seconds we shared did with grilled gnocchi and was fantastic!
The restaurant has a bar if you wish to wait there before your table is ready and a romantic section on the upper mezzanine.
Love it, awesome food, great ambiance, fantastic service, excellent value for money. Among the thriving foodie scene/eateries of the Finnieston, this is the new, extremely talented kid on the block. With a lovely french style it is a fantastic choice for extremely delicious brunches (e.g. poached eggs, avocado, feta and hot smoked salmon with great olive oil or a simple croissant with egg & exquisite bacon) or elegant or simple dinners alike dinners for all tastes (incredible range of French wines). The service is extremely attentive, friendly and fast. A must if you stay in the West End of Glasgow - fantastic location close to the Kelvingrove Gallery, the park or Argyle street.
The duck and waffles was insanely delicious. And the creme Brule French toast was paired with the best bacon I’ve had in the entire UK. I could probably eat an entire other meal just because it was sooooo good. Couldn’t even wait to take a photo of the food and we ate EVERY last bite.
Pleasantly surprised.
Lovely smells of Christmas with fresh boughs of conifirous tree everywhere. Feels, as is the intention, like an alpine ski chalet/restaurant with wood panelling and lovely oak furniture. There were even rolled up blankets on the seats.
The menu was not overcomplicated which is surely a sign of confidence when it comes to it's dishes. I had sourdough toast, scrambled egg and smoked salmon. It was a large portion with no skimping on the salmon. The food tasted extremely good quality, simple food done very well. This was £8 which is about right for Finnieston and The West End in general.
Service was quick and efficient.
Will be coming back.
Had lunch here yesterday on a sunny Saturday. Sat outside as it was so nice. We ordered a salad and a sandwich from the lunch menu, and shared them between us. Both portions were large and beautifully presented, and both were delicious! Highly recommend
We stopped to have pre-dinner drinks. It's been a fabulous experience. A great wine list and the owner was knowledgeable and passionate about her wines and knew them well. Loved the Gewürztraminer from Alsace and also the Crozes Hermitage. And the Truffle and Parmesan chips were delicious.
