Amazing scone!
Popped in recently with friends for tea and a scone. As a scone expert I would say this was one of the best! Friendly staff. I’ll be back!
Small place on Hyndland road that is perfectly situated for people watching (particularly when the sun is shining and the doors are all open). Small breakfast menu, but good range amongst it. Really big portion sizes. Coffee was a little disappointing, but all in all a good breakfast- and looks like it could be fun later on in the day for a bevvy.
Ok for breakfast. Menu not vast for breakfast, lack of hot food on menu don't think they have great cooking facilities & seems a bit overpriced charging £3. for porrige.
Yum. Youve gotta try the milkshakes!!
The Coffee. Friendly staff serve great coffee. Too many so-called coffee shops seem to have forgotten how to do this
Best coffee in the West End?. Certainly at least as good as anywhere else.
A fair selection of pastries.
Best thing is the soup though. Definitely the best soup in the West End, :)
Decent (if slightly overpriced) food but good service and wee touches like free water and jelly beans make it worth a visit.
Good place for an average coffee and cake. Nice seating outside, rare to find in these parts.
Good little place for coffee. Lunch time food ok to. Lovely in the summer.
Favourite cafe in my local area. Staff are consistently pleasant and professional, even during busy times. Lovely interiors and a great outdoor seating area complete with flowers. I love their coffee and, although I haven't tried much of their food, what I have had was high quality. It's expensive but, to me, worth it for the positive experience.
A nice, friendly small cafe/bar in the west end of Glasgow. Inside, the cafe is tastefully decorated with muted colours and lighting. There's a mixture of outdoor seating, high chairs, booths styles seats and standard cafe tables.
There's a fairly extensive menu of healthy foods good amount of choices by cafe standards, although we already had lunch, so just went for coffees. I ordered a cappuccino and my friend ordered a black coffee, both of which came with a small piece of fudge. I used my to flavour the coffee instead of sugar and that went well.
The staff are super friendly, very quick to take our order and make delicious coffees.
Amazing food! The decor of the cafe is really nice.We will be definitely be back
Lovely little west end café. Dog friendly too. Good breakfast roll and drink offer before 11. My daughter had the banana and chocolate waffles and couldn't finish it as was such a large portion. Some of the food options are on the pricier side though.
2023 Update - staff are still friendly and helpful ☺️
Original 2016 review - Friendly banter and repartee from the staff, a cosy welcoming atmosphere - decent background music! - and to top it off the food and tea was grand too.
Fantastic service, great food and coffee. Well worth a visit. 👌
Wonderful staff excellent latte lovely venue
Staff were absolutely fab, friendly, helpful & efficient. Food is very good & filling! They've obviously spent a fortune on the wooden cladding & furniture inside which forms a nice contrast to the original stonework - a connoisseurs dream in many respects!
Lovely place to stop and have coffee. Dog friendly inside and out.
Nice wee cafe come bar. Foods good, coffee really good. Service a little slow but it was busy and lunchtime. Been several times so that should tell you we like it!
Lovely heated outdoor area to sit with the dog. Had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows here tonight and it was delicious.
Lovely vibe in this independent cafe! It’s got lots of big wooden seating which gives it a modern vibe.
Lots of dogs seem to be there, so I’m guessing it’s dog friendly which is great.
The coffee was tasty and reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and attentive.
Went there to read in an afternoon, a little lively for reading but perfect for catching up with friends!
Would have been 5 stars if the cake selection was a bit better. I had fancied a cake but there weren’t many and none took my fancy.
A small, friendly cafe with a small menu of cafe fayre. The coffee is well made and the plates deliver on what they promise. Whilst there is nothing stellar or unique here, they do what they do well and with good service.
Well, what can we say? A rollercoaster of ups and downs here. Ups? Absolutely everything. Like everything - fantastic place, sharing platters a delight, super coffee and brilliant service. Downs? Just one but it was a biggie - my lunch companion got a bit of tablet with her tea, I got no such sweet delight with my coffee. As I said to Amy, our superbly attentive server, I don’t want to say it’s ruined my day but, well, you get the drift. Having come crashing down to earth with a bump, Amy sprang into action, apologising profusely on the way, and a small bag containing tablet appeared at the table. She had - just - redeemed herself, and the reputation of this establishment. Go, but look out for your tablet.
PS In case it’s not abundantly clear, this review is somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Brilliant place and Amy is utterly fabulous - highly recommended :)
PPS please make sure Amy stops apologising.
Lovely lil place for a coffee, a drink or a snack. The wooden interior is gorgeous and it was nice to see good non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu.
