Visited this chippy twice while staying close by and really enjoyed my suppers. Food was cooked fresh and was really tasty and worth the wait. Portion sizes are large and at a really good price. Staff very pleasant especially the Turkish lad that worked there who I had a good chat with.
It's a chippy .. so if ur in the mood for some local weegie fare, this is the best place to drop by. In terms of fish n chip this establishment serves perhaps the best in town and at a decent price !! Do try the lunch menu and before I forget, do ask for a chip-butti .. yumm !!
During our visit to this chip shop, my wife and I enjoyed a delightful small fish tea supper each, which was generously portioned, as shown in the picture. The quality of the food was excellent, and we were truly impressed by the brilliant service; there wasn't a single fault to be found.
The menu boasted a wide variety of options, including the expected fish and chips choices, as well as pizzas, egg dishes, pies, pasta, toasties, jackets, sandwiches, paninis, and mouthwatering desserts.
If you're seeking a local chippy experience, this is the place to be – we highly recommend it. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
Another great special fish supper from The Oxford. Can't fault the grub here, always top quality. If you are looking for fish and chips on your night out you can't do better than this in the city centre. The Oxford - recommended 👍🏻
I have been coming here since I was a kid, different management and decor now, but the food is appetising and the service is good. Went on Sunday and the sit in area was quiet, but a few people in and out of the takeaway side. Value compared to the other chippies in the centre of town is great. Fish tea is recommended.

One of the best chippies I've ever visited. Food nice and hot, staff very friendly, sublime chips. It's all good.very reasonable prices. I couldn't ask for more. If only there were more like this. Don't go to McDonald's of KFC, go to the Oxford. Believe me, I don't work there, I'm just a visitor. I sometimes stay at the Travelodge on hill Street, Glasgow and this is my go to place. Even if I was staying a couple of miles away, I would still go there.
I stayed in Glasgow for about four days and one of my friend adviced me this Restaurant. I tried several dishes like fish, pizza, Lasagne and Break fast and all of them are great. Later I met with the Cook and learned that he used to work in big hotels but somehow found himself here. He is running this Place for about 18 years and I am very happy to be here. Good luck to him and his Team.
Had a nice dinner from this shop tonight. Nice fish and chips. Would recommend large portion (£7) if you are hungry. Nice staff, tasty food.
