We hosted my dad’s 75th birthday at The Overlee and it was a great night! The venue was lovely, function suite was an ideal size for the number of people we had and the staff were really attentive. Would 100% recommend.
The customer service and staff were first class. Was out for my friends birthday dinner, and the food was excellent. Special mention to craig as he lovely. will be back again !!!
Went for food, after unsuccessfully trying 3 other places. I must admit going up the stairs it felt like a uni pub. However, once inside upstairs it is welcoming, atmospheric and unpretentious. Lots of different area, sports bit, comfy seats, booths, tables and a function room. 2 ladies on duty were super friendly and genuine, excellent customer service. Would say food portions a bit small, definitely on the chip front. The baked potato side was lovely and fluffy. Definitely would go back.
The BEST pub in Clarkston hands down and great value for money. We were only visiting the area and opted to eat there two days in a row after an amazing experience. Great ambience too and staff were very attentive.
Frequently visit the overlee for food and drinks service is always fantastic, food is tasty and the staff are lovely definitely will be back!!
Our waitress Leanne very helpful and attentive. As a disabled patron she went out of her way to help us out when ordering. Definitely deserves a raise.
First up, the staff in here are fantastic.They seem to enjoy their jobs and I would take from this the managers are also good at their jobs. Friendly and efficient and a credit to the establishment.
The food was impressive too. Had the fish and chips and wings to start. The wings where perfect, next time I am taking in my hot sauces and trying a hot ones challenge.
The atmosphere was perfect too. For the rare occasions a few of us meet up to drink, we have in the past gone to Parklands as its on our doorstep. This place is totally worth the 3 mile walk there and 3 mile wobbly walk back. No sound from the TVs or music playing. The loudest noise being the fruit machine which we discovered was on the other side of the partition where we sat.(Table 31).
Nice choice of beers on tap, ice breaker being my choice for the duration.
Finally, the toilets are pristine. Well maintained and looked after.
Very good local pub/restaurant. Food very much of the quick comfort variety but really well cooked and great taste (get a sauce with the steak though). Bar area has 3 TV and there is usually a good deal of sport on. Some of tbe booths have TVs in them so thats not bad Can get noisy but it's what u would expect. Caters really well no matter the party is catching up with pals or watching the football. If you want to sit down to eat always book at the weekends as it's really busy after seven

Great selection of lagers if that is what you like. I am not so Belhaven Best as it is a Belhaven/Green King pub. Does have one other beer and Guinness. Well staffed and a pretty big pub where you can escape the TV if you wish. Sells food but did not sample. My first visit and happy to try again.
Not too noisy at lunch time. Friendly staff. Good choices.

Food was delicious and excellent portion sizes. We were pleasantly surprised at the cost of our bill - definitely value for money!
Staff very helpful & knowledgeable.
For it being such a large pub, the place was warm cosy & comfortable to sit and enjoy our evening.
They have a small function area to which looks ideal for small get togethers.
Well be back again soon for another visit.
