This is one of the smaller branches. It has a small coffee shop, with very good pastries.
The staff are excellent and most helpful. There is the feel of being in a small local bookshop, but with modern decor and layout.
Whenever I visit, every few weeks, I have to steel myself to curb my spend
As always a great atmosphere for buying books. Good cafe as well.
Great selection of books, many buy one get one half price, easy to find as arranged into fiction, new and children's etc, friendly and helpful staff, non contact sales as the assistant didn't even touch my purchases, they just scanned the barcodes, front door was open allowing air to circulate the s
Had a lovely cup of tea with the best bakewell cake. Sat outside and our tea was taken outside for us, all part of the lovely service 😀
Great bookshop,Byres road lost its last book store quite a few years ago so I was thrilled to see Waterstones bring one back. There's a coffee shop within and two floors of books. Ground floor factual, history, military, science, biography etc,top floor, best sellers, fiction and coffee. Highly recom
A physical bookshop. With real touchable paper books. A rare thing worthy of support these days.
Nice book shop with a café.
Staffs are really friendly and greeting you with a smile. Wonderful collection of books, some stuffs for kids, maps and postcards. The small comfortable cafe inside the store is great as well!
Love the atmosphere in here, bright & warm - a small cafe area, but you can sit outside too, even in the rain! (If the wind isn't blowing.) Possibly the best tasting coffee (IMO) Staff are friendly & knowledgable. For a big chain it has a real 'village coffeeshop' vibe
The staff are friendly and very helpful, the shop is a wonderful.place itself. Fully recommend taking the time to have a beverage and cake(the courgette cake is out of this world) Books and good refreshments, what more could you ask for?
Friendly, knowledgeable staff always on hand to make a recommendation and guide you to the right bookshelf. Great selection of books for the shop size, with everything from travel guides to manga. A nice little selection of non- book gifts and a cafe rounds it all out.
Maybe Waterstones were pushing it to open up in this average sized Byres Road shop. It can get cramped at times but it's quite an achievement to get a variety of books, some non book gift items and a cafe into this tight space so I was pleasantly surprised.
Smaller than you'd expect. Decent variety of latest fiction novels as well as Young Adult themed novels. However, the lower level (which houses the non-fiction section) is very crammed. The space is mostly taken up by autobiographies and the science section is quite small.
Wonderful bit of tranquility on Byres road. I don't bind the coffee shop is so small as to not really be worth it. Also although space is limited one or two chairs to browse a book is always appreciated in a book shop so shame they don't have them.
Staff are friendly and feel a bit like an independe
A brilliant addition to Byres road which has be wanting of a decent book shop since John Smiths turned into Starbucks. Good range and nice cafe. Can be a little pricey but worth it for being able to come in and physically browse. Nice staff too
