Absolutely ace baking, wonderful staff, beautiful wool and great classes. They sang happy birthday to me at the sock knitting class and presented the most delicious cake and candles. Made my day and now I can turn a heel, so all round awesome. Thank you!

Happy New Year! Ordered yarn by phone and the skeins (one chosen by Antje herself with great taste ;-) ) were here, in Italy, in time to be wrapped and given to some dear friends for Christmas. As for me, I'll knit another pair of socks with the Frozen alike Abstract cat's yarn and start the year the best way. Thank you, shop keepers. Eva

Just finished the 4 week beginners crochet class and highly recommend it. The wonderful and very knowledgeable Maria helped us understand the basics of crochet and we walked away every week with a crochet creation. Amazing tea and homemade cakes on offer too.

Beautiful shop. Wide selection including Drops and locally hand dyed yarn. The lovely lady at the counter is very friendly, will give a lot of helpful suggestions, and is very quick-witted. Didn't try the cakes or coffee/tea - but can imagine those would be good too.

Had a lovely visit to The Yarn Cake. My Highland cow and Cheviot sheep enjoyed themselves as well. As a visitor to Glasgow I was extremely happy to find locally sourced yarn. I'm so looking forward to making beautiful things with it.

Yarn Cake is a great shop, loads of inspiring yarn, books and accessories. The staff are always helpful and friendly and a lovely place to relax with/without knitting with a hot chocolate and cake. Good for public transport access, free parking and bike paths not far away.

A really lovely welcoming wee wool shop. The staff are very knowledgeable. Check the website for events, there is something to come along to most Sundays and well as special events. Good range including local hand dyed yarn as well as WYS and drops. They have all the bits you need, stitch markers etc, but they also have some fancy accessories that would be great for gifts or souvenirs. I would definitely recommend dropping in to the yarn cake.

Super lovely cafe/wool shop. The owner is very friendly. The selection of yarn is small but well-selected. If you want to have a coffee and a nice chat this is the place to go!

A lovely visit to this cosy little yarn shop! A nice selection of yarns which were just what I was looking for. The selection is small (understandable for the space available) but covers most yarn weights and a number of accessories. I found exactly what I wanted!
