Even if the food was rubbish, this place would be worth a visit just for the vibe and the banter with the staff. The food is actually amazing though! If you have to wait for a table, it's definitely worth it!

Well, I've known Fish Plaice for a long time. This is a seafood store like no other. I usually go every weekend. Efficiently run by the owners and their lovely staff, you can expect the freshest seafood and just about any fish or shellfish. You can imagine. It's worth it, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
We go here once a week and have done for years, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the fish is always fresh, they also have a range of frozen products that are unavailable in the supermarket, great place hopefully it won't dissappear like some small business's.

Good collection of fresh fishes. I wanted to buy some clams after office hours but sadly every fishmonger closes shop at 5. This shop opens till 7, giving you time to buy fish on your way back home. The shopkeeper is nice and friendly.

Ordered a few times over the last year or so as I love whelks but can never get them locally. Always impressed with the quality and service. Ordered 1kg of chicken with the last order which was 100g short. Being honest, we probably wouldn’t even have noticed this if it was not for the fact we were provided a note to explain and almost 350g haddock to make up for this. I don’t think anyone could complain about service like that.
Craig turned a potentially bad experience into a great one. I emailed on Monday asking when was the best day to place an online order for delivery for Christmas and got a response saying to place an order on Thursday for delivery on Friday. On Wednesday I looked at the website to choose my seafood, but the website was closed saying all deliveries were done for the year. I called the shop and was told the same, so when I mentioned that I had been told to place the order on Thursday, Craig helpfully said he could let me into the shop after hours on Thursday after I'd finished work to come and pick up my order. When I went in, Craig was so lovely and cheerful. Absolutely stellar service.
