Whether it's the chocs you are looking for or a nice cuppa this place can't be beat. Staff are really friendly and there is a great selection (chocs not staff).... And don't forget the ice cream.... yummy
Thorntons cafe is a good place to stop for a break from showing. And has a good selection of drinks, cakes sandwiches. The kids, big or small can have ice cream if not tempted by the cake selection. I am a regular and find the staff very helpful and approachable, whether they are serving in the cafe or at the counter. Any personalisation on chocolate gifts are done well, as is gift wrapping, and nothing is too much trouble. Kirsty is the best, she is a joy to see when I go in. Christine and I have a sense of humour which is great to see, you can still be professional in your service while enjoying some banter with customers! Only thing I'm not keen on is the tiny toilets, but there is not a lot of space in thst part of the dh. Not bad enough to stop me returning.
Great choice for mothers day chocs, and very courteous attention from Alex who excelled in her polite friendly manner, my son although had to part with cash did not look too sad, was happy too he had made a good choice.
As usual a delight to visit. Plenty of space for wheelchair or buggy access. Range changes frequently and spacious coffee / hot chocolate cafe inside.
I love visiting for a coffee and a free chocolate!!
The only downside is there is usually a long queue to stand in!
