Our first visit. The variety of food is excellent and the best way to order is very well explained by the attentive staff. Every dish was very well cooked meat extremely tender and we'll certainly be back now we've found this gem of a restaurant.

Went with my family, four of us. We had the 5 tapas, per two people deal with a glass of wine each. Food was amazing. We all enjoyed our tapas and wine. Service was great. I've been a few times and will definitely be back.

Food was incredible, light crispy batter on the pakora, soft juicy chicken on the inside! Beautiful mutton curry.. amazing peshwari naan! Couldn't fault any of the 10 tapas we tried! Amazing friendly staff, great experience all round!

Delicious and fresh food. I had vegan meal and was super happy! They have a special menu for vegans. The service is really fanatic, very caring and super hospitable! I would definitely recommend and would happily come back when I am again in Glasgow.

Simply put one of our favourite Indians in Glasgow. Proper authentic, tapas style which is ideal as I don’t like having one big curry I like to try all the flavours. The service is some of the best in Glasgow. Balram the owner is world class and all the other staff are on point also! If visiting Glasgow this is a must! 👌

Fantastic from the start to finish. As recommended we’ve ordered selection of 5 plates between 2 of us: Lamb Karahi, Garlic chicken curry, aloo saag, garlic naan, chicken Bryani. All the dishes were full of flavour and very unique. We’ve also received complimentary lentil soup- delicious. Didn’t try any of the desserts (as we were too full), but there was a lot to choose from.
Restaurant was very clean and cosy.
Great Indian feast. Definitely will be back again while visiting Glasgow.

Green Gates Cafe is a must go!
Loved the starters - Papdi Chaat, Aalu Chaat and Tandoori Chicken for the starters. We requested for a desi style spice level.
For the main course - Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Tikka - were not as a spicy as were expecting it to be as had stressed on the extra spice level. But the taste was amazing.
After visiting 3-4 Indian/Asian restaurants in Glasgow, I had given up the hopes of getting good desi spicy food. But Green Gates Cafe fulfilled my expectations. Will visit again.

A small group of friends and I have a regular dinner club on the go and we booked this with a voucher deal. It was 3 tapas between 2 people for £9. The menu is comprehensive with all of the expected favourites. The atmosphere is nice without any annoyingly loud music. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The service was excellent. The portions are a healthy size between two. Of course we couldn’t resist adding extras like breads and rice. We had two bottles of wine and a couple of beers added too. The total bill was £109 which included our voucher ie add another £54. We paid a tip in cash. Definitely recommend this place for delicious classic Indian cuisine served as tapas style so you can try several dishes.

First time at Green Gates Cafe and will definitely be returning. Lovely atmosphere, and the food was delicious - my favourite was the butter chicken curry. We ordered the fish pakora, which was ok, but felt the batter was too thick. This is my opinion as my partner enjoyed it. Also, peshwari naan had a syrup over it, a bit too sticky for me.
Overall though will 100% be coming back.

We recently dined in Green Gates Cafe for a special occasion and were very pleased with the food and the service.
They have wide variety of dishes especially for vegetarians/vegan and can customise those as per your spice comfort level. The test was very authentic Indian. The Soya Chap, Paneer Tikka and Paneer Butter Masala, Daal Makhani were particularly delicious.
The service was above and beyond, the manager was able to suggest alternate dish for main course based on our feedback for starters and the suggestion was indeed better choice than what we would have otherwise ordered.
