Literally amazing!! The food is honestly like nothing I’ve ever had before, so many flavours and so much to choose from on the menu. I’ve seen a few people say about small portions.. it’s tapas! What do they expect? And I left feeling full and happy with the 3 small plates I chose. Cocktails are also lovely! Great value for money and staff are so helpful. Will most definitely be back!
Amazing lighting and atmosphere. Menu is extensive but allergies aren’t super clear. The food was good too and drink selection was decent. Staff were attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced for the area but slightly expensive for glasgow.
The menu was very creative and interesting to chose from as it doesn’t have the ordinary-expected set up. It’s fun to choose. Best to come with an empty stomach to enjoy as the portions are generous. The place itself is very nice to look at with lots of whimsy fairy lights and swings . The Mocktails were so great in taste and display . The food was delicious , with so much flavours - well done ! It’s served in little tin boxes and bowls to give it a unique style .
We were also well advised by staff during our stay . We would totally recommend to try it .
We went as a birthday treat for a friend. The food was fantastic, cannot recommend highly enough. If you've never been before they describe it as similar to tapas, order two or three dishes each, then mix and match.
Our waitress made an error with our order, so by way of compensation we were given our desserts free of charge.
Great atmosphere, great decor, well worth a visit
I went there on my friend's birthday.
The first thing I loved was their ambience and service which was excellent. They had unique drinks menu.
The food was delicious. I would recommend trying the lamb starter and the gunpowder chicken. Overall my experience for the first time was amazing. The staff were really attentive and helpful.
new Place that might be my new favourite Restaurant in Town.
booked a table (would recommend to book as it was jumping)
waitress explained the menu, you should order 2-3 different things as they are smaller portion. once food arrived we started eating and OMG flavours were so good, very fresh and perfect with some cocktails/mocktails plus you get a jug of water straight away once your seatted.
Food is NOT spicy besides a few dishes, but waitress was Outstanding in telling us which dishes are spicy. menu& allergy information are in my photos
highly recommend Chat Bomb, so refreshing (wee goodness of freshness,yogurt/coriander/pomegranate) and House Chicken Curry (similar to korma taste, very mild)
Lovely looking restaurant with swing seats and lantern lights that make for a really cosy and exciting atmosphere. Had a selection of different plates, and everything was amazing. Got drinks recommended by the waiter, to notch.
Highly recommend if you’re after something smaller in town. Well priced and delicious!
Had heard so much about this from family and friends and wow it did not disappoint! From when you walk ,the staff were so attentive and great atmosphere. They guide you through the menu choices and all of our choices were amazing...the fish curry, the lamb chops ,the Dahl, the sticky chicken, butter chicken..my list goes on. Was just a food party in my mouth!
The interior is beautiful and quirky ,so many little authentic touches from the metal plates and tin dishes ,to the wee monkey emblems on the water jugs. Nothing not to love. Even my fussy 15 year old tucked in without any questions or hesitation,so well done Mowgli!
I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the dishes!
Sorry we didn't get many pictures as we were just loving the vibe and the food!
Firstly, this is only a 4 star due to a direct comparison to another restaurant we went to the night before.
Food is always good, this is the 3rd Mowgli I have been to in the UK and all are really top notch! Great choices and great atmosphere.
We ordered way too much as usual but it’s worth it.
My only downside is the price. Again, comparing it to another meal we had the night before, this was way more expensive and not as good. For 3 people, the bill came to just over £125 which seemed a little much really for what we had. But I’d go back because overall it was lovely.
Food was very good, just a little bit different & very tasty. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the roti bread, I wouldn't order that again. Service was good with an explanation of the menu, there were 3 of us & we were advised to order 2 dishes each but I think 5 between the 3 of us would have been enough.
Will definitely go back.
