To be brutally honest, I was told it would not be "your kind of pub", and that's exactly why I went there. The staff are so chilled, the customers are pretty colourful and it's a fact that you can pretty much talk to anyone. It's the best pub I've been in in years, the food is fantastic and the entire place is totally relaxing.

Just had a gorgeous roast beef Sunday lunch, meat veg and gravy were cooked to perfection. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, we can't rate this place highly enough ;-)

Very much an alternative pub (not for the stuffy and conservative) we enjoyed the atmosphere here, there was music on the Sunday afternoon/evening with a fire in the fire pit in the beer garden. They had a new comedy night on the Monday night of the August bank holiday weekend. The apple cider was also good. We didn’t eat and I would say not particularly suitable for children.

Awesome old pub with a casual vibe about it. Alternative-looking kinda place (although when we went in they were playing dodgy rave music! But I don't think it's always like that). Stone floors, big garden, good drinks selection. Some cool looking alternative types in there. Not much parking but it's just down the road from the town centre anyway. Lots of events on. Would highly recommend.

A great music venue serving craft ales and with a large beer garden -what more could you want? Friendly staff too. No food whilst I was there, but there was a music festival on, so there might be at other times. Not far from all the cafes in the centre of town, so not that important.

Amazing pub Amazing service Amazing staff. We stopped for a pint of cider in the garden on the Saturday loved it so much we thought we'd try our luck on the Sunday.... told it was fully booked but I was cheeky enough after having a pint....to ask if there was any chance of food which they did accommodate us with a nut roast.... not disappointed at all the food was out of this world.... recommend to all .... Best roast ever
